October 2nd: MARCH! - a personal story of the hopeful march toward beloved community
and DAYSTAR - a parable of cooperative community.... guest speaker O. J. Mozon, Jr.
Ollis Mozon, Jr. loves to tell stories that energize hope, encourage faith, exude love and enlighten minds. While serving as a Navy chaplain he discovered the joys of storytelling.
Over the years he has shared his expanding repertoire of Bible stories, folktales, myths, legends and historical vignettes for community and cultural festivals, churches, and historical presentations around the world.

If you would like to add your preferred pronouns to your existing Summit name tag, stickers are available at the greeting table.
This is optional, but if you feel comfortable doing so, sharing your pronouns and inviting others to share theirs, creates a more welcoming space for all. You can do this by adding pronouns to your name tag with a quick sticker at the greeting table, or by introducing yourself to someone new and sharing your preferred pronouns along with your name.
If you are unsure of someone’s pronouns, don’t assume, ask or stick to using the person’s name and the pronouns they/them. In addition, if your preferred pronoun combination is not available or if you have lost your printed name tag, and would like a new one, please let Jim Weed know

For Lay-Led Sunday Services
To make our Fellowship successful we need….. participants!!!
Everyone speaks of how much they love lay-led services, well here is your chance!
We are not asking for you to do a full service, or even a full sermon/reflection, we just need people who can speak for 6-8 minutes.
People willing to help would only be responsible for your speaking part, Sunday services committee will take care of the rest. You may participate in person or via Zoom.
Please help Summit remain the vibrant community it is by lending your voice!!!!

Summit's Children's Religious Exploration | |
We offer in person Children's Religious Exploration at Summit during the Sunday morning service starting at 10:00 a.m. During this time children and youth play, discover and explore aspects of Unitarian Universalist principles and sources through stories, games, activities, crafts, conversations and more. All ages are currently meeting together with our director of Religious Exploration, Mary Carter-Vail, and volunteers from the community to explore the day's theme before engaging in a variety of activities inspired by the story or discovery of the morning. Parents/Caregivers can join us after the service or visit the salon to connect with other folks in the Fellowship until pick up at 11:30 a.m.
More information can be found on our website
or contact Mary Carter-Vail at Summitdre@gmail.com
to receive the weekly email with details about this Sunday's activities.

The Caring Committee is composed of a group of Summitarians that meet once a month. While maintaining confidentiality, we organize volunteers, match human resources with the needs of members and friends of Summit. We provide transportation, when necessary, to Summit events, medical and other appointments, shopping, and other essential errands. We also assist with memorial services. We have not met during Covid and are ramping up again.
We always need volunteers, so if you would like to help, contact Janet Dixon, spierdixon@mac.com,
or the Summit office, summituuf@gmail.com and you will be added to our list of wonderful helpers.
