EAC Network  is proud to announce the appointment of Stephen Wade LaMagna, Esq., founding partner of Martello & LaMagna, P.C., to its Board of Directors. “Mr. LaMagna’s extensive experience working with clients involved with DWIs, narcotics, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and more, directly relate to many of the human service programs we offer," said Lance W. EAC Network Offices Compete in Health & Wellness Challenges
Congratulations to our Employee Health & Wellness participants at our 60 Plant Avenue, Hauppauge office! They competed with 175 Fulton Street, Hempstead in water drinking and steps challenges and won both, all part of our Employee Health & Wellness Initiative thanks to a grant by Cigna. Their prizes included the much-coveted "Little Lance" doll, a hand-made likeness of our President & CEO. Great job, everyone, and congratulations to Oskar Lopez for winning first place in the water challenge and to Katarzyna Krol for winning the steps challenge!
EAC Network Represented at Nassau/Suffolk Reentry Taskforce Resource Fair
EAC Network's Lisa Newman from Suffolk Transitional Case Management (TCM) , Gregg Scheiner from the Long Island Dispute Resolution Centers , and Leslie Dewrance-Doucet from Suffolk Community Service , recently participated in the Nassau/Suffolk Reentry Taskforce resource fair at Suffolk Community College.
Safe Start Car Seat Event Held at NFP with Nassau County Police Explorers
NFP recently hosted a car seat safety checkup event for our Safe Start program, which promotes the proper use of car seats in order to prevent injuries, with the Nassau County Police Department Explorers. With 75% of car seats improperly installed nationwide, checkup events are vital in teaching parents and guardians how to keep their children safe in motor vehicles.
Last Call to Go Over the Edge, and First Call to Walk a 5k!
Over the Edge is just a few weeks away! If you're a thrill seeker vying for the opportunity to rappel down the side of a building, register right now for the event October 20th! The event takes place in Eisenhower Park, a 930-acre oasis of open space and recreation in the heart of Nassau County. The Park is one of the largest public spaces in the New York metropolitan area – even larger than Central Park! People of all abilities are welcome to join - you can run, walk, or even wheel!
