What's Happening
Recently appointed to EAC Network’s Board of Directors is West Islip resident Samuel J. Ferrara, Esq., Executive Partner and Co-Director of the Family and Matrimonial Law department at Lake Success-based Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP. “We are so grateful to have Mr. Ferrara as a new guiding force on our Board of Directors,” said Lance W. Elder, President & CEO. “Not only is he well-versed in everything family and children-related, but he is also an experienced mediator, which will lend a supportive helping hand to our  Long Island Dispute Resolutions Centers .” Read more .
Safe Start Hosts Car Seat Events and Receives $20,000 from GEICO
GEICO and EAC Network collaborated once again for a series of child passenger safety check events at GEICO’s Woodbury headquarters. Prior to the car seat inspections, GEICO presented EAC Network with a $20,000 grant in support of our Safe Start program!
Nutrition Education Presents at AIDS Institute Conference
Nutrition Education & Food Services (NEFS) expert staff recently presented “Taking the Mystery out of Food Shopping: Who Says Shopping Can’t Be Fun” at the AIDS Institute Nutrition Providers Meeting. Since 1992, NEFS has been re cognized as an outstanding source of nutrition services for People Living with HIV/AIDS on Long Island. EAC Network Represented at Toys for Tots Kickoff Event
EAC Network staff representing our Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and Project Support attended the Toys for Tots Kickoff Luncheon at the Coral House in Baldwin. Toys for Tots donates thousands of Toys each holiday season for EAC Network's at-risk children. Pictured with Marine Corps as well as Freeport Fire Department representatives and Santa Claus are Georgina Carpio, Liz McDermott, and Lupe Cordova. EAC Network's President & CEO, Lance W. The event takes place in Eisenhower Park, a 930-acre oasis of open space and recreation in the heart of Nassau County. The Park is one of the largest public spaces in the New York metropolitan area – even larger than Central Park! People of all abilities are welcome to join - you can run, walk, or even wheel!
