Carol O'Neill Named Woman of Distinction
EAC Network's Senior Director of Senior & Nutrition Services , Carol O'Neill, was recently awarded Assemblyman Dave McDonough's Woman of Distinction Award in the Community and Civic Affairs category for her long-standing and dedicated work to serving vulnerable older adults in our community. Carol has been with EAC Network for over 30 years and has spearheaded programs including In-Home Respite Services , Meals on Wheels , Nutrition Education & Food Services , and more.
AARP Volunteers Conduct Toiletry Drive for TCM
Hempstead AARP volunteers collected bags and bags of much-needed toiletries for EAC Network clients transitioning back into society via our Transitional Case Management program. HEAP Engages Community in Preparation for Winter
EAC Network's Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) staff recently attended Senator Kemp Hannon’s Senior Health Expo at St. Paul’s School in Garden City, where they were able to engage the community and educate them on how programs like HEAP and WRAP (Weatherization Referral and Packaging) can help them and their loved ones manage the colder months. Senior Director of Senior & Nutrition Services Represented with AARP
Carol O’Neill, Senior Director of Senior & Nutrition Services is pictured with Beth Finkel, New York State Director,  AARP  and David McNally, AARP , at the Lifespan Respite Sustainability Summit in Albany. EAC Network's In-Home Respite Services program has supported Nassau County family caregivers for 33 years by providing trained companions who spend time with, and care for, older adults with memory loss, Alzheimer's, and other dementia while their caregivers take some much-needed time off to run errands, take care of business, or simply relax. Did you know that 3 out of 4 car seats are installed incorrectly? EAC Network's Safe Start program is partnering with Legislator DuWayne Gregory, the  Amityville Police Department , the  Amityville Fire Department , and the Suffolk County Police Department  for a car seat inspection event on Saturday, November 3rd at the Amityville Fire Department at 55 West Oak Street in Amityville. EAC Network certified technicians will be on-site to inspect car seats and provide parents with essential information about child passenger safety.
