What's Happening

As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, individuals are encouraged to #goBlue to spread awareness of this wide-spread problem and to educate the community on how to prevent it. Staff from our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in Central Islip spearheaded EAC Network’s #goBlue campaign by inviting all EAC Network employees as well as the community at large to wear blue on April 26. Read more.

Following TD Bank's support of our Chance to Advance program through a week-long Bring Change event, the community-minded financial institution released a promotional video highlighting the program. Watch the video.

EAC Network Staff Present at National TASC Conference
Dr. Melodie Foellmi, Brooklyn LINK Clinical Director, and Dr. Edward Fernandez, Queens TASC Clinical Director, recently spoke at the 23rd Annual National TASC Conference in New Orleans. The conference brings together professionals from around the country to learn about the latest treatment advancements. National TASC's mission is to offer leadership, advocacy, and policy recommendations for innovative treatment and recovery supports resulting in opportunities for justice-involved individuals with behavioral health needs to achieve healthy and productive lives with their families and communities.
Queens Mental Health Diversion Visited by Swedes
Our Queens Mental Health Diversion program was recently visited by Maria Bauer and Axl Fors, two professionals from Sweden, to learn how the program functions in conjunction with the courts. Ms. Bauer is a behavioral scientist, qualified instructor, and author, with over 25 years of experience in social work, justice, health, and social care, and is an expert in managing aggression and violence. She is Sweden’s foremost speaker on addressing threats and violence in the workplace. EAC Network is excited to announce that we are expanding our New York City Behavioral Health & Criminal Justice Services and have several vacancies throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. This is an exciting time for EAC Network as we continue to grow the types of services we provide as well as have the ability to serve more individuals impacted by the criminal justice system.

Some of the positions we have available include: Program Director, Psychologist/Clinical Director, Consulting Psychiatrists, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Team Leader, Case Manager/Social Worker, Housing/Entitlement Specialist, Care Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.

We are looking for individuals with particular past experience in case management, knowledge of the needs of individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders, an understanding of the criminal justice system, and a flexible mindset, as we will be building new programs which can be challenging but very rewarding.
