EAC Network has taken over the operations of the North Merrick and Long Beach Senior Community Service Centers, as well as Long Beach Meals on Wheels and Long Beach Case Management, which had been contracted previously by JASA (Jewish Association Serving the Aging). The programs are funded by the Nassau County Office for the Aging. Read more.

What's Happening

The Junior League of Long Island recently presented EAC Network’s Chance to Advance program with a $1,750 grant to support a new endeavor, which will help Chance to Advance start a leadership project allowing for youth in the program to develop, practice, and perfect leadership skills. Read more.

Golf for Good is a full day of fun, networking, and, of course, golf! The event starts at 10:30am with registration. 12:30pm is the shotgun start. There will be friendly competitions for prizes like closest to the pin, longest yard, and up to three hole in one games! Awards will be given to the most “honest” golfer, best foursome, and best man and woman. Non-golfers can join in the fun at the cocktail and awards reception at 5:30pm. Read more.

One summer danger that can be incredibly serious – and potentially deadly – is heatstroke. The elderly must pay closer attention to what their bodies are telling them and take extra precautions when out in the sun, as they are much more likely to develop heatstroke. EAC Network is looking for runners to join and participate in its 2017 TCS New York City Marathon team! The funds raised will help us to empower, assist, and care for more than 70,000 neighbors in need within the five boroughs of New York City and across Long Island. This is the fourth consecutive year that EAC Network has a team registered in a New York Road Runners’ event. Read more.
