YOUTH NEWS: WHAT WE ARE STUDYING

We’ve jumped into a new series on the Beatitudes, and instead of just asking, “What do these teach us to do?” we’re asking, “What do these show us about who Jesus is?” Each week, we discover that the Beatitudes reveal the heart of Jesus; His humility, His mercy, His compassion, and His deep love for people. It has been powerful to watch our youth connect with Jesus not just as a teacher, but as a Savior who truly understands them and invites them close. Please pray that our youth would continue to see Jesus clearly and grow in their love for Him!

MERGER MESSAGE

It's been just over fifteen months since Mafair and St. Mark started worshipping together. Initially, we spent one Sunday a month together at St. Mark and another Sunday a month together at Mafair. With unanimous approval at the church conferences, the merger became "officially official" at the Annual Conference this past June.

With immense gratitude for the dedicated efforts of our Unity Team, we are pleased to provide you with an update on our recent achievements and the tasks that lie ahead.

  • Each week, we have come together in worship and fellowship at Mafair, strengthening our community bonds.
  • We have successfully relocated essential furniture from the Maple Street property to our church, and we are currently in the process of determining the optimal placement for these items.
  • Additionally, we have moved the paintings that once adorned the chancel at St. Mark, which will now be prominently displayed in the first-floor hallways of Mafair.
  • The bell has also been relocated and is now positioned at the main entrance of the Fellowship Hall, with plans to affix a plaque to the masonry in honor of this tradition.
  • The scripture from Habakkuk 2:20 will be painted above the entrance to our sanctuary.
  • The sale of the Maple Street property has been completed, and the Unity Team has compiled a list of items and projects to be funded by these proceeds, which will be reviewed by the Church Leadership Council at their upcoming meeting.

We deeply value your input and involvement in this process, as it reinforces our shared purpose and connection within the Mafair community. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our mission.
