From Father Jason: my August so far…
  • August 3: Art Camp preparation; pastoral counseling; lunch with Jennifer; wrote/sent Newsletter; left for San Diego in the evening
  • August 4: Day off
  • August 5: Return from San Diego; sermon prep
  • August 6: Sunday services; Elishebah Pulliam-Tate gave a great talk thanking the congregation for supporting her education through the Scholarship Fund
  • August 7: Into work early to set up for Art Camp; First Day of Art Camp. It went very well! After camp I had lunch with Jennifer, then went back to the office to answer emails; phone meeting with the senior warden.
  • August 8: Second day of Art Camp—our young artists painted daisies on tiles, clay crosses with flowers, and were instructed to make sheep out of clay, but many made snakes, baseballs, and at least two baseball stadiums; met with a young adult interested in being baptized; pastoral phone call.
  • August 9: Third day of Art Camp—our young artists spent the entire time painting and assembling (with white glue) bird houses, as we learned about how God made the birds, fish, and great sea monsters; admin work; Men’s Corner (to which I arrived late, but still had wonderful fellowship).!
Outreach Scholarship Fund is Now Old Enough to Rent a Car
This Sunday the Outreach Scholarship Fund of St. Francis celebrates 25 years of helping students get to college. At the 10:00AM service we will hear from one of the students that was helped several years ago, who has since earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She approached one of the people on the scholarship board at the rummage sale to express her thanks, as well as to give a donation to the fund in thanks for all they did for her. After the service we will eat cake and raise our coffee cups in a toast to the good work being done through the scholarship fund.

Nursery & Sunday School families!
Summer Sunday School

While parents and guardians worship, our kids will be thriving, with supervised fun in the fantastic Town and Country playground this summer. Come straight down to the playground at the bottom of the steps. Or ask an Usher to direct you.

The nursery is still available for our tiniest church members. Up to you to decide where your little one(s) would be happiest.

And as ever we always welcome kids in church. No one will shush you. We love to see families and children in our pews!

Weekly Worship
Sundays - Holy Communion
8:00 a.m. - Rite I in-person worship in the Chapel, with hymns. This service is not live-streamed.
10:00 a.m. - Rite II in-person worship in the main church with music. Live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube, and available for watching later.

Following the service we have coffee, tea (or plain, warm water), donut holes and other yummy nibbles. We also have a children's social hour in the St Francis' Garden, to the right of the church. There the kids enjoy juice, water, cookies and fruit. If you're reading this, odds are good you've been to at least one service - or someone surreptitiously gave us your email address. If you have any questions about what we do or why we do it, please don't hesitate to make an appointment with Father Jason, who loves talking about church (also Jesus, his kids and Star Wars, though not always in that order).
Please contact Kristina Pelá to arrange for a Lay Eucharistic Minister to safely bring you communion.
