Spotlight on SPAAR: Common Courtesies are Essential in Real Estate
Issues of courtesy and etiquette are important factors when it comes to the National Association of REALTORS'® Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice. Hear from SPAAR members who share some helpful ways to help all Realtors® in their business.

SPAAR's weekly videos highlight timely news, events, member features and key information to help benefit members in their business. As such, these videos complement content also shared in SPAAR's newsletters, on its website and on social media.
Committee meetings and small events return to onsite this week
Welcome back! It's exciting to have members onsite at SPAAR.

The following building reopening schedule was approved by SPAAR’s Board of Directors as follows:

  • July 20: SPAAR reopened to walk-in members
  • August 3: committee meetings and small events will begin to be held at SPAAR; note, some groups and committees have chosen to meet virtually through August
  • August 17: building fully open for all events, classes and meetings at SPAAR

Note: dates are subject to change if needed.
Pathway to Achievement Program promotes diversity within Realtor® membership
The MNR Pathway to Achievement Program is designed to promote diversity within the Realtor® membership by helping people not in Minnesota's racial majority join the Realtor® community.

The program creates an alliance between the recipient, sponsoring broker, SPAAR and Minnesota Realtors® (MNR). Candidates must be a person not in Minnesota's racial majority and demonstrate a commitment to becoming successful in the real estate business. The sponsoring broker provides a mentor and in-house training for the recipient to optimize the success of the new licensee. The program is intended to provide startup assistance to candidates who have not previously held a real estate license.

2022 Membership Renewal Notices will be emailed this week
It's that time of year! Watch for your 2022 Membership Renewal notice to arrive in your email inbox this week. The notice will be sent from billing@spaar.com.
SPAAR offers member incentive for C2EX endorsement
SPAAR has a great opportunity and member incentive! Become endorsed in NAR's Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) program on or before November 1, 2021, and your name will be entered into a drawing: Five lucky members will receive the SPAAR local annual dues portion of their membership for 2022 paid on their behalf! Already C2EX endorsed? We’ve got you covered and your name will be entered retroactively. A chance to be one of five lucky members….and a great professional development opportunity.

You choose your own pace to complete C2EX endorsement (the average is about 10 hours from start to finish). You demonstrate your knowledge and enhance your skills in 10 aspects of professionalism---along with experiences and resources to enhance your individual skillset. Learn more about NAR's C2EX program here.

This incentive is made possible thanks to SPAAR's Professionalism Committee. Questions? Contact Sheri at srichards@spaar.com.
SPAAR wants photos from your National Night Out event!
This Tuesday, August 3, is National Night Out (NNO) when neighbors gather to connect.

Please send your NNO pictures to spaar@spaar.com with NNO in the subject line. SPAAR will share a sampling of the pictures received!

Fifty-six (!) SPAAR members identified themselves as block captains for their respective NNO event this year! Each block captain received a $50 gift card to Cub Foods to help with expenses, courtesy of SPAAR's Community Engagement Committee.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered as a NNO block captain. Have a fun event!
