Women ToGetHer

A guest speaker from Sanctified Hope will be here to talk with us about their ministry.  We will also talk about our February retreat at Glen Lake Camp.  
Children's Wednesday Evening Time Change
Wednesday evening activities for grades K-6 will be from 6:00-7:00pm.  Dinner will still be served at 5:30pm.  

Children's Ministry Mission 
   
This month, Children's Ministry will be collecting items to make Sunshine Boxes. Sunshine Boxes are boxes containing items that are yellow or have yellow packaging and we hope they will bring a bit of sunshine to those experiencing grief or illness.Examples of items for the boxes include, lotion in a yellow bottle, lemon candy, facial tissue in a yellow package, a yellow candle, etc. We will be collecting yellow items through the month of January. Please drop off donations in the marked bin in the Narthex.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
   
Tuesdays, 10:00 am, Chapel
The Tuesday Morning Bible Study will begin its spring semester with a study of C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity.  Everyone should get their own copy of the book, either online or at a book store.  This will be a great time for anyone considering joining the study to begin.  If you have any questions call Sussie Jordan 512-923-9268

Tuesdays, 6:30pm, Gathering Room
Life is ______. How would you finish that sentence? Author Judah Smith believes Jesus shows us how to live life to the fullest! Join Trudy Smith for this 6-week class, great for new believers and lifelong followers alike. Sign-up at the Connection Center or email Trudy Smith. Study guides are $10. 
Dialogos
 
Wednesdays, 6:00pm, Gathering Room
Dialogue, from the Greek Dialogos, is the sharing of ideas with the goal of each party growing in understanding. Each week Pastor Lee will guide a discussion into the previous Sunday's sermon text, encouraging participants to delve deeper into Scripture and the larger message it contains. This is a serious study for disciples who are seeking to engage the Bible and their faith at a deep level. Contact Pastor Lee at leetrigg@aledoumc.org for more information. Potluck Birthday Bash
Wednesday, January 24. 5:30pm
Our first Family Fun Night of 2018 will be a Potluck Birthday Bash. Come see who else shares your birthday month! Play birthday games and eat birthday cake. Fried chicken will be provided. Please bring your favorite side dish to share. 
 
Lenten Choir 
   
Wednesdays, January 31 through April 1, 7:00pm
Come be a part of the choir as we prepare for our Good Friday and Easter service. Rehearsals are 7:00-7:45pm on Wednesday. Our choir will be joining with FUMC Weatherford for a Choral Tenebrae Service on March 30th. Please consider joining us for Lenten choir this year! 
Ladies Retreat
   
Feb. 9-10 at Glen Lake Camp
