The Road Less Traveled
I love the drums ... always have. As far back as I can remember, someone has been giving me the look when I absent-mindedly drum my fingers on the table. As far back as I can remember my favorite songs were the ones with the great drum parts. When I was a kid...

Church Family - We Need You!
If you would like to show some love to our students and adult volunteers who are going on Summer mission trips but aren't sure what you can do, you can write letters.  So far, we have 70 people going on mission trips, 60 on the June trip alone.  If you would like to help with this outreach please contact Rachelle for the details.
Children's Pew Bibles
AUMC Children's Ministry has plans to place Children's Bibles in the pews throughout the Sanctuary.  The cost for each Bible is $20. We believe that cultivating a love for the Bible in our children is important.  If you think it's important, too, and would like to be a part of it, you can sponsor one or several of these Bibles.  Visit the Connection Center to make your donation.
Manna Room Items Needed
Every week, our Manna Room provides food for families in need in our community. We are currently running low on the following items:
  • Beef stew
  • Ravioli or canned pasta
  • Muffin mixes
  • Jelly/jam
  • Peanut Butter
Thank you for your faithfulness in helping feed our hungry neighbors!
VBS Snack Donations
Please visit the VBS table and grab a fish.  Each fish will have a snack item needed for VBS.  Donations are due by Sunday, July 1st.

VBS Donations
Now is the time to clean out your child's closet and find those gently used children's books they have outgrown. Vacation Bible School needs gently used children's books for Education Kits for the churches in the Texas Coastal Bend that lost most of their church school's supplies. You can drop off donated books in the bin in the narthex.

Vacation Bible School Registration Open
Registration is now open.  Morning VBS will be held July 9-13 from 9:00am-noon.  Evening VBS will be held July 8-12 from 5:30-8:30pm.  Visit www.aledoumc.org to register today!

Volunteer Caregivers Needed
Volunteers are needed for the infant through 4 year old rooms during the 9:00 service, 10:00 Sunday school hour, and 11:00 service times. Please email Barbara Leevy if you're willing to help on a scheduled rotating basis or be put on a call list. It takes a lot of help to fill the times slots needed to care for our littlest people.
Ushers Wanted!
AUMC is in need of additional ushers for the 11:00 service.  We currently have four teams which rotate ushering monthly so your commitment would only be for three months each year.  For more information or to sign-up for a team, please email Scott Sadler.

On the Go Devo

Sometimes life keeps you away from church on Sunday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.  Our weekly ON THE GO DEVO keeps you talking about what your church family is talking about, even if you can't be here.  You can subscribe to have the DEVO delivered to your mobile device each week by texting ONTHEGO to 68398.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell at sharibirchell@aledoumc.org to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to aledoumc.org/give to use your credit or debit card.
