March Mission Focus

Covenant UMC Pet Ministry

Covenant United Methodist Pet Ministry is honored to be the Offering of the Month at Covenant United Methodist Church!

Our mission is to radiate the love of Christ through dedicated service to both our core members and the broader community, fostering meaningful connections between people and animals. Join us for special events throughout the year, including our annual Blessing of the Pets each fall. We’d love for you to be part of our growing community!

You may make your gift in one of these four ways: (1) make a check payable to Covenant UMC, designated for Covenant UMC Pet Ministry, and mail it to the church, (2) place your designated check/envelope in the offering plate/basket in any worship service, (3) give online through our website by clicking “Give” and select Covenant UMC Pet Ministry Fund from the "Fund" list. 

March United Women in Faith Meeting - Sunday, March 16

Please join us for the March United Women in Faith (UWF) meeting on Sunday, March 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Smith Covenant Center.

This month's program will be on the Salvation Army and will be presented by Mr. Aaron Keegan, Executive Director, Development. Join us to learn that Salvation Army is so much more than red kettles and a thrift shop.  

All women are invited. You do not need to be a member of Covenant United Methodist Church or the UWF to attend. Refreshments will be served.

It's not too late to join us for the Lenten Supper Series! On Wednesdays through April 16, we have four studies available to guide you through this season. Each Wednesday, we will host dinner at 5:30 p.m., classes from 6:15-7:00 p.m. Class sign-ups are now available.

Church-wide ‘Picnic on the Pavilion’

When: Sunday, May 4, 2025

Where: CUMC Pavilion (golf cart service provided for individuals with mobility challenges)

Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm

All are welcome to join us on May 4th (Youth Sunday) after the service for a picnic lunch, bluegrass music, and games on the lawn! Please be sure to sign up so we have enough food and note in the comment section if you would like a hamburger, veggie burger, or hot dog for lunch. We will also have a cake for dessert honoring our graduating seniors! Donations gladly accepted! Hope to see you there!

Ark Encounter Creation & Creation Museum Trip

April 23 - 26, 2025

Schedule:

Wed. April 23 – Depart CUMC at approx. 8:30 am (check-in and dinner together)

Thurs. April 24 – Visit Creation Museum

Fri. April 25 – Visit Ark Encounter

Sat. April 26 – Depart for CUMC at approx. 10:00 am

All are welcome to attend an exciting and educational 4 day/3 night trip to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Williamstown/Petersburg, Kentucky. Depending on the number of attendees, we will look into renting a van for the trip and securing lodging where we can have breakfast, and fellowship together.

Experience Bible history at the life-size Noah’s Ark! Meet Noah, his family, and the animals on the Ark. The family-friendly Ark Encounter theme park also features a zoo, zip lines, and a timber-frame restaurant. Bible history comes to life at the Creation Museum! This family-friendly attraction explores creation science with stunning exhibits, dinosaur bones, fossils, botanical gardens, a planetarium, a zoo, a zip line course, and more.
