IRS to Begin Mailing "Pay or Play" Penalty Letters 
The IRS has announced that it will begin mailing employers letters informing them of their potential liability for a "pay or play" penalty for the 2015 calendar year in late 2017. This letter (Letter 226J) is designed to let ALEs know they may owe a penalty payment, and allows them to respond (agree or disagree) before any actual payments are due. IRS Announces Increase for 2018 Health FSA Contribution Maximum  
The IRS recently announced the annual inflation adjustment for flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for the 2018 tax year. The 2018 dollar limitation for contributions to health FSAs is slightly higher than the current maximum, while the 2018 Dependent Care FSA maximum annual contribution will remain the same.
