A Note from Pastor Randy
Amazing Grace
As we continue in our summer series, we celebrated amazing grace by looking at Gideon. God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things…even if they are scared or feel weak. God works for His glory through them. We are all, in a sense, weak and need to realize that apart from Christ we can do nothing. (John 15) We continue the story of Gideon this week in Judges 7. God will prove He is in total control and on Gideon’s side as He delivers victory for His children. God does the same for us…we have victory… and like Gideon and the people of God, they didn’t have to fight. God delivered. If only we could see we have VICTORY and not have to fight for it, how much more peaceful and joyful life could be. WE HAVE VICTORY THROUGH JESUS!! We have victory over sin, the devil, and death! 1 Corinthians 15:56-58 Walk in victory, church!
Come get your kick on starting this week September 20 at 3:00pm! Teams are being formed and you have until this Thursday to sign up. This week we will have some snacks afterward to have some fellowship with your family! What a great way to invite other families to join in a very safe, social distanced atmosphere! Please use your social media to push kickball this week. See you Sunday at church and the lawn off the patio for a great time. I look forward to it! It is ON!
I MISS EVERYONE…… ENOUGH SAID. Hope to see more coming in the weeks ahead.
I love you family,
Churchwide Announcements
Deacon Nominations, August 30—September 27
We have the wonderful opportunity as a church to choose a group of men to serve as deacons. With this opportunity comes the tremendous responsibility of making sure that the men who serve are called by God to do so and meet the biblical qualifications found in Acts 6:3 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

The by-laws state that men who are at least 21 years of age and who have been an active member of the church for at least one year are eligible to be nominated. A list of these men is available to help you in making your choices. Contact the church office for a list of these men by emailing contact@libertypark.org. Please choose eight men from the list and use the form at www.libertypark.org/deaconelections to submit your nominations.

Because the office of deacon is so vital to the health of the church, we urge you to make your choices not on the basis of popularity or any other superficial criteria, but rather on the basis of God’s guidance through prayer and Scripture. We ask, therefore, that you spend time praying diligently about your choices and examining the qualifications found in the two passages mentioned above.

Every individual who is a member of The Church at Liberty Park may submit a nomination form, and all church members are encouraged to participate in this process. Please complete the form online or come by the church office to fill one out. To submit your nominations, click here. We will conclude the nomination process the last Sunday in September.

Thank you for participating in this important decision affecting the life of our church.

We’ll meet in the Sanctuary so we can social distance, but the plan will be just like Kids Worship downstairs. We’ll play games, sing our songs, and I’ll teach a Bible lesson at the end. After we’re finished, we’ll have a shaved ice truck in the parking lot. This will be a fun night for you to worship with your kids and meet some new families. Please make plans to join us!
