Biblical Counseling
Biblical Counseling is an aspect of personal discipleship that focuses on recognizing and relying on the truthfulness of God’s Word to help us through life’s struggles. As Christians, our goal is to glorify God by becoming more like Jesus. In counseling, we are applying this goal to particular areas of struggle in our lives.

To tell someone who is struggling, “Our goal is to help you glorify God by learning to look like Jesus” might sound trite, but the truth is we all have ungodly ways and habits that weigh us down and might, ultimately, present problems in our lives. The good news is God does not waste unpleasant situations in a Christian’s life. He desires for His children to replace ungodly ways and habits with godly ones that allow us to live full lives of true worship.

The Church at Liberty Park is happy to begin a new ministry of Biblical Counseling available to the women of our church and our community. It is our prayer that by applying the truth of God’s Word, this ministry will encourage growth in our Christian walk and help bear the burden of those who are suffering, or need someone to talk with. Sometimes counseling is a process that takes time. It takes time to believe and follow the Gospel more fully each day. The grace of God, the power of His Spirit, and faithful human effort are needed during this process.

If you are in the midst of a struggle or there is something in you that is saying “you can figure this out by yourself”, but nothing is changing, please visit the Biblical Counseling page of The Church at Liberty Park website: libertypark.org/biblical-counseling
