Churchwide Announcements
Easter Outside
On Easter Sunday, April 4, we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! This Easter, we are going to celebrate in a little different, but very exciting way. We're going to celebrate Easter Outside! We'll gather together for one time of worship on the amphitheater that Sunday at 10:00am. We'll give you more details as the day approaches, but for now, begin inviting your friends and family to join us for this fun, family-friendly time of celebration.
How to Prepare for Easter Outside
As we move toward our celebration on April 4th, there are several things you can do to prepare.
  • Pray - Pray that God will use this celebration to bring glory to Himself and good to His people and the people in our community. Pray also that God will grant us a warm, sunny Easter Sunday.
  • Invite - Invite your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to join us as we celebrate.
  • Bring Candy for the Easter Egg Hunt - Immediately following our Easter worship service, we will host Easter Egg Hunts for the preschoolers and children. Please help us prepare by bringing candy to put in the eggs.
  • Plan to Park in a New Spot - If you are physically able, we will ask you to park on the side of the building or in the back parking lot that day to provide room for our guests and senior adults in the front parking lot.
  • Plan to Bring Your Chair(s) - We will worship together on the lawn next to the Commons. Please plan to bring chairs for your family.

Help Needed for Easter Outside
In order to provide a welcoming environment for our guests and regular attenders on Easter Sunday, we will need several people to volunteer to serve in different areas. We will need volunteers to:

  • Direct Traffic in the Parking Lot

  • Greet People on the Lawn

  • Help People to Find a Place to Sit on the Lawn

  • Clean Up After the Service

If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Nate French, Associate Pastor, at 205.969.1236 or

Each year, we collect an offering at Easter to support North American Missionaries who work to share the gospel with those who have yet to believe. Our goal this year is to raise $12,000 to invest in this mission. To date, the amount given is: $7,070.

Blood Drive - March 31

Depression can be a difficult road to be on and can cause pain, not only for the one suffering, but also for those closest to them. Depression covers a wide range from having a mindset that is stuck - unable to make decisions or accomplish anything, including your normal, everyday work and ministry- to brief mood fluctuations or the feelings of sadness, disappointment or irritation that everyone can experience.
The first step towards freedom from depression is to determine all the contributing factors. Addressing physical factors is important. Note that God ministered to the physical needs of the prophet Elijah before He addressed Elijah’s deeper cause of depression in 1 Kings 19. A complete physical by a medical doctor is very important. If you are still struggling, please consider reaching out to our counseling ministry at

New Grief Share Group Starting Tuesday, April 6
As believers, we have great comfort in knowing that a loved one that has died and was a Christian is healthy and happy in heaven. If we believe that with confidence then we also believe that our Father is good, all-knowing and will comfort us. But, even knowing all this, the days and nights can be long and hard. Grief is very personal and does not, necessarily, follow a particular pattern. We are all unique and our circumstances are different. Learning to think about life in a new way can be unsettling and overwhelming. There is much good that God can give us through our pain. How would we know of God’s ability to sustain, guide and comfort us if we didn’t experience the sufferings of this life? Beginning Tuesday, April 6, The Church at Liberty Park will offer a grief support group for help and encouragement.

You might have experienced loss years ago or it could be recent, it could have been a family member or a friend. Every person’s situation is personal and unique. If you need someone to talk to, please join us on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm beginning April 6th. For more information and to sign up, please email Leigh Simmons at

Secret Church 21
On Friday, April 23, 2021, we will join with tens of thousands of people around the world for intense study in God's Word and prayer for the persecuted church as we participate in Secret Church 21.

This year's theme is: The Great Imbalance
Go and make disciples of all nations. A clear command and monumental charge from Jesus. Yet what if, despite our best intentions and sincerest efforts as the church to obey Jesus, we are actually ignoring what He said? At best, what if we have misunderstood Him? And what if much of our efforts are unknowingly keeping millions upon millions of people around the world from eternal life? Further, what if much of our efforts are keeping you and me from experiencing God’s purpose for our lives? Unlike any Secret Church we have ever done, Secret Church 21 is designed to be a ground-breaking journey through God’s Word and around the world that leads to a tectonic shift in the way you view your life, your family, and God’s design for the church. For your eyes will be open not only to a great imbalance that is affecting countless people for eternity, but also to the bold opportunity you have to change it with your time on this earth.

Secret Church will begin at 6:00pm on Friday, April 23, 2021 and conclude at midnight. To learn more and to sign up, visit The cost for the evening is $10 per person with a family maximum of $20.
