A Note from Pastor Randy
DAY OF PRAYER - OCTOBER 27
On Tuesday, October 27, the week before the election, we will host a day of prayer in our sanctuary. We will provide a prayer guide with scripture references to lead you through the prayer time. The church will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to accommodate as many people as possible. We will practice safety protocols and provide a mask for those who want one. We are inviting anyone in the community to participate as well.

People say this is the most important election in our lifetime. I say it’s the most important time in God’s church to get on their knees and pour our hearts out to God in true repentance. As we have been walking through 2 Chronicles 7:14, we see how important God’s church is in bringing revival. One of the points from this past weeks message was “God will not shake this world until He shakes His Church.” Acts 4:31. I hope to see the majority of our membership next Tuesday to cry out to God for His Glory to be seen in His church and our Nation like never before. Anne Graham Lotz said “Revival begins when you draw a circle around yourself and make sure everything in that circle is right with God.”

LORD send a revival, and let it begin with me.

LORD’S SUPPER
We will observe The Lord’s Supper on Sunday, November 1. This will conclude our IF MY PEOPLE series and give us an opportunity to apply what we have heard from Gods word. Be ready with your elements as we celebrate together the good news of forgiveness in Christ. We will also have a prayer time for our local, state, and national Leaders.

We will also start our choir-led service on November 1 at 9:00am. We are working to livestream this service also. The students will have their small groups at 9:00am beginning November 1.

See you this Sunday as we continue our study of 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Randy
As a church family, we prayed over the Barthels last Sunday. Pastor Clint Barthel, our student ministry pastor, and his wife, Anna, will have their baby girl on Friday. This is somewhat early but is medically necessary. Pray for the baby's safe and healthy delivery and for Anna and Clint.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Each year, people pack shoebox gifts to bless children in need around the world. Churches and groups collect these boxes the third week of November. Then, thousands of volunteers inspect and prepare the shoeboxes for international shipping.

This year we will have two ways to be involved in Operation Christmas Child. There are boxes for you and your family to take home and fill as usual. Or you may take part in the church project, Families on Mission.

Families on Mission Project
Go to libertypark.org/occ to sign up to purchase items needed for our boxes, and get them to the church by October 29. Be sure to check the online list.

Families on Mission Day: On November 14, bring your family and friends to the church to help fill up 200 boxes with gifts! If you have any questions, contact ben.stephenson@libertypark.org.
Family to Family Ministry - Thanksgiving Meals
For five years, Liberty Park has been partnering with Strong Tower church in Montgomery to provide Thanksgiving groceries for needy, unchurched families in the Washington Park community. Due to COVID concerns, our congregation will not be participating in the delivery of the groceries this year, but we can continue to support this eternally significant outreach effort with financial gifts and prayer.

Donations for the groceries will be accepted through Sunday, November 8. Make your donation to The Church at Liberty Park and designate the gift for F2F (Family 2 Family). If you give online, be sure to write F2F in the memo or notes section.

International Mission Board - The Future of Missions
What does diversity in missions look like? What are the long-term implications of urbanization? What is the state of the U.S. church? How does Gen Z think about missions? One night. Two hours. Together, we’ll begin a conversation about our future.

Please join Dr. Paul Chitwood, President of the IMB, David Kinnaman, President of Barna, and a panel of experts on October 29 at 7:00pm EDT for a 2-hour virtual event:

  • Receive practical tools and actionable takeaways for you and your church to be part of fulfilling the Revelation 7:9 vision
  • Be inspired to pray, give, go and send so that lives can be transformed
