A Note from Pastor Randy
Sacred Space
The more I think about the passage from this past Sunday, the more I pause to realize the heaviness of it. Moses in Exodus 3 is doing his everyday schedule of tending the herd of his father in law. I can imagine Moses remembering the days of grandeur of the best food, clothes, education and palace living. So easy to live in the past and maybe Moses thinks this is the way it will be forever…. And suddenly he sees a bush on fire but not consumed. He steps closer for another look and God says, “MOSES! MOSES! Stop! Take off your shoes, for you are on HOLY GROUND.” What happened is that Moses crossed the threshold between the HOLY and profane… SACRED SPACE. Every week we cross the same threshold as we enter into worship, coming into the presence of God. Now Psalm 139 tells us we are always in God’s presence and that’s true. But in times of worship, as God’s gathered people, let us all be reminded: He is Holy and we are not… yet we strive to be holy…2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 Peter 1:15-16, and Hebrews 12:14.

Pastor Randy’s Kickball League…
…starts on September 20. It’s for kids Pre-K 3 to 3rd grade. It will run 5 weeks on Sunday afternoons. What a great way to spend some time watching your kids play a fun and safe game! Go to our website and sign up so that teams may be formed: www.libertypark.org/kickball

I look forward to seeing future soccer and field goal kicking stars. I know that BIG KIDS and Mom and Dad want to play but it’s for the little ones… maybe an adult league soon? Stay tuned!

Thank You…
…for being faithful with tithes and building fund. I said from the beginning of our COVID separation that I trust you to be faithful. We are funding all ministries and missions commitments and paying our building fund down at a faster rate. So again, thank you for trusting God…the true provider of HIS church.

With much love,
