Council adopts tentative millage rate for 2023
At their meeting July 28th, the Council adopted a tentative millage rate of 7.05 mils for Fiscal Year 2023, set Thursday, September 8th as the date for the first public budget hearing, and took other action.
Planning Commission meets Tuesday, August 2nd

Second Budget Workshop set for August 10th, Council August 11th meeting is canceled
The Village Council will hold a
Budget Workshop Wednesday, August 10th to plan for 2023. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in Village Hall. The public is welcome. The Regular Council meeting for Thursday, August 11th has been canceled.

Code Compliance Officer
Want to help keep the Village looking attractive and safe while working with a great team of colleagues? If you have great customer service skills and a related background, maybe you can be our next Code Compliance Officer.
Please keep golf carts and LSVs off golf course grass at night
The Village golf course is closed at night, so please do not drive any vehicles there on the grass after sunset. Night riding has caused expensive damage to the greens and bunkers in the past, but more importantly, it is dangerous to ride in the dark. Please remind any youth who may be heading out there at night, their safety is a priority.
Please dry out unused paints before placing out with trash
Whenever you use paints and varnishes, please don't place the leftover supply in the trash unless the liquid has dried up. Otherwise, it spills out of garbage trucks onto local roads, or onto the trucks themselves, as in this photo.
Back-to-school sales tax holiday continues next week
The Florida Department of Revenue's 2022 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday runs from July 25 through ! Qualifying items will be exempt from sales tax July 25-August 7.

Annual Fishing Tournament
is Saturday, August 6th
Join our 16th Annual Anchorage Aweigh Fishing Tournament at Anchorage Park on Saturday, August 6th. This popular recreational tournament is for adults and youth, with a Kid's Fishing Derby, awards, a cookout, lots of fish tales and bragging rights for a year for the winners!
