Summary of Feb. 9th Village Council meeting actions


At their meeting February 9th, the Council permanently appointed Chuck Huff as Village Manager, listened to a presentation of the Police Department's annual report, decided not to allow accessory dwelling units, and took other action.

Planning Commission to consider rule changes affecting former Twin Cities Mall site


The Village Planning Commission will consider a proposal for Comprehensive Plan and land development rule changes affecting the former Twin Cities Mall site, and will consider a request for a screening exemption for a trailer on Kittyhawk Way on Tuesday, Feb. 14th at 6:30 p.m.

Join inaugural Walk/Run event this Saturday, Feb. 11th


Join fellow walkers and runners at the inaugural NPB Walk / Run Club event this Saturday, Feb. 11 at 8 a.m. at Anchorage Park. It will start under the pavilion near the playground. The goal is to get people moving. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Walk or run at your own pace for as little or as long as you like. Event ends at 9 a.m. Please bring your own water.

Catch an outdoor, family-friendly movie on Feb. 25th


Come outside and enjoy the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," in the Community Garden in Osborne Park (behind the racquetball courts). Bring family & friends, a blanket or lawn chair, and a picnic for this family-friendly event!

Free popcorn. Rated (PG).

The Palm Beach County Constitutional Tax Collector's office publishes an annual Tax Planner & Services Guide to help residents understand what services are available from them. Print copies are available, and the guide can be seen online as well.

A message from Brightline Trains:


Starting Saturday, February 11th Brightline will begin testing trains at 110 MPH in northern Palm Beach County. This phase of testing will occur throughout February and March.


Trains will be passing through Palm Beach County including in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Park, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach at higher speeds. Keep your eyes and ears open, and never stop on the tracks.

AARP Foundation welcoming walk-ins for tax return help


The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program is providing free tax preparation services at the Village Library on Wednesdays and Fridays until April 14. Walk-ins are welcome.
