A revised site plan proposal for 200 Yacht Club Drive will be reviewed at the Planning and Zoning Adjustment Board (PZAB) on Nov. 14.

PZAB is the new name of the former Planning Commission.

A blast from the past!

The Council warmly welcomed former Village Manager Joe Eassa at their Thursday night meeting, thanking him for his part in setting the course for "The Best Place To Live Under The Sun."

Joe was Village Manager in 1966-67 and was influential in setting up some of the very systems and programs that continue to benefit Village residents today. He spoke briefly about life in the Village back then and acknowledged the progress that has been made since.

Dr. Eassa went on to a career as a Professor of Business at Palm Beach Atlantic University. It was an honor to have him back at Village Hall.

Council and Best Buddies talk Disability Awareness

The Council was joined Thursday by Torrance Bostic of Best Buddies Palm Beach, and Sabrina from Palm Beach Lakes High School.

The guests were there for a Council Proclamation recognizing Disability Employment Awareness Month, which calls for increased employment opportunities for those with both physical and intellectual disabilities, and encourages education about disability employment issues.

SUA making sure North Palm Waterway stays healthy

Following an accidental sewage discharge to the North Palm Waterway Monday morning, Seacoast Utility Authority posted “no fishing and no swimming” signs along the waterway.

The turbulence now seen in the waterway is caused by surface aerators placed to increase oxygen levels in the water and do not indicate an ongoing discharge.

The temporary warning signs are precautionary and will be removed when laboratory testing confirms the waterway is not adversely impacted.

Call Seacoast at (561) 627-2900 with any questions.
