Beloved,
This Sunday we will take counsel together for a difficult and emotional decision about the future of our beloved cathedral. I pray that each of you can be with us in person or on Zoom as we take a vote to move into the next step of our relationship with Stewardship Realty. It has been a hard path to get to this place and it will be a hard path moving forward with whatever decision we make.
Now more than ever it's important to remember and hold in our hearts all the reasons we gather in community around a sacred table. In the earliest years of Christianity, the symbol of it was a fish. Food. It didn't become a cross, an instrument of torture, until power became a motivator for the church. Christians gathered at tables, just like Jesus gathered folks at tables. And fed them. We are fed each Sunday not just by the Eucharist, but by smiles and hugs, and shy glances, and coffee hour, and music, and scripture, and preaching, and laughter, and children, and delight in one another.
Come and be fed. Come and feed. Just come.
Beloved, you are beautiful. I love you and God adores you.

Special Meeting to Vote on Redevelopment Project
Sunday, March 15 After Worship
We hope you will join us after worship this Sunday for a parish-wide vote to consider moving forward with our partnership with Stewardship Realty to generate financial stability for the Cathedral through the potential development of the Cathedral’s downtown property.
The ballot question is:
I support the plan to empower the St. Paul's vestry, trustees, staff, and outside legal and development counsel to negotiate terms on behalf of the parish and, providing such terms are favorable to the Cathedral and that appropriate approvals are obtained from the Diocesan Trustees and Standing Committee, draft agreements for the sale of a portion of the property and a ground lease for the redevelopment of a portion of the property in partnership with Stewardship Realty.
YES NO
There are three ways to vote: Those in church on that Sunday will vote by paper ballot, those participating online will vote via Zoom poll, and those not available on Sunday morning can vote via email to Lisa Schnell. Emailed votes must be received on or before noon on Saturday, March 14 to be counted. Each voter is limited to a single vote. Voters must be aged 16 or older to be eligible. Once all the votes are counted, we'll make a parish-wide announcement with the results.

Support Episcopal Relief and Development During Lent
Each year St. Paul's has dedicated our fundraising efforts in Lent to support Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD).
ERD works in collaboration with church partners and other local organizations to facilitate healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities that are struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. They work around the world and here in the U.S. responding to and rebuilding after disasters.
ERD's programs impact the lives of over 3 million people annually, respecting the dignity of all people, and working alongside participants regardless of religious affiliation or background.
ERD's unique expertise, experience and practical knowledge allow them to guide communities to lasting change with a focus on three key priorities:
• Women
• Children
• Climate
We hope that you will consider making a contribution, by either mailing a check to the Cathedral with "ERD" in the memo line, or using the ERD line on the donation page of the Cathedral website. There will be a formal ingathering at the Cathedral on the last Sunday in Lent, March 22.

Spring in for JUMP Silent Auction
Your treasures and talents can help support the Joint Urban Ministry Project's (JUMP’s) Silent Auction - their largest fundraiser each year. Do you have a precious antique that none of your children want? Artwork you no long have room for? Gift cards or tickets you probably won’t use? A talent or skill you could offer -- four hours of gardening, a baked-to-order pie or fancy cake, a special gift basket you could make, services your company could offer?
JUMP is one of the effective local social service agencies supported by St. Paul’s and serves about 3,000 households, providing over $230,000 in direct services to over 1,000 unhoused clients, over 1,000 children, and about 400 elderly. This fundraiser will make a difference in how many clients can be served. Please be creative and donate what you can.
Go to https://bit.ly/jumpauction2026. If you have questions, ask Abby Miller or Katherine Verman. We can help transport items to JUMP, as well. Deadline for donations is April 1.

Lent Madness: Who Will Win the Golden Halo?
We're down to the Saintly Sixteen! Visit the Lent Madness 2026 site to cast a vote for the saint you deem most worthy of the Golden Halo, and learn some fun facts along the way.
The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time and people vote for their favorite saint. 16 saints make it to the Round of the Saintly Sixteen; eight advance to the Round of the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the coveted Golden Halo.
Lent Madness encourages people to get to know some amazing people who have come before us in the faith and reminding one another that there’s no reason for a dreary Lenten discipline. If this helps people connect with the risen Christ during this season of penitence and renewal, and have a bit of fun in the process, then it is worthwhile.
We hope you'll participate fully this Lent and vote with reckless abandon! We will be handing out saint cards at the Shrove Tuesday dinner and tracking our saints on a poster sized bracket! You can sign up to participate in the full experience here. Get ready to vote for your saint!
