Dear Holy Rosary Families,

It was with great joy that we presented a Christmas festival that was interactive and inclusive of all our school families and parish community in celebrating the third week of Advent with "Guadete Sunday", which means "Rejoice!" The third candle on the Advent wreath is called the "Shepherd's Candle. Its light is a symbol of Joy that filled the world at the birth of Jesus. It is the joy that first came upon the shepherds in the field at night when the Angel of the Lord appeared to them and said, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."- Luke 2:10. The rose colored candle is a reminder that the very joyful occasion of the Lord's birth is truly at the heart of our Advent preparation of prayer and penitence.

Holy Rosary School's Follow the Star Christmas Festival was a joyful presentation, celebrating the beautiful voices of our children, sharing in fellowship with each other, and waiting to Rejoice in the birth of our Lord.

I am grateful to all the teachers, staff, students and families who made this Christmas Festival possible.   Our Masters of Ceremony students were entertaining and kept us on time.  It is a humbling experience to witness the amount of time, creativity and enthusiasm that transpired in preparing for this festival. This endeavor was truly a leap of faith.  We thank God for giving us perfect, crisp weather and incredible blue skies.  We thank God for our Holy Rosary families.

"Joyful,  Joyful, Lord. We Adore You."
