Winners of the Holy Hotcakes Raffle!

Thank you to our Breakfast Chefs and the Kitchen Crew.  Thank you to all the families who joined us this morning for mass, a delicious breakfast, and fabulous raffles.  Thank you to the school community (kindergarten, first grade, sixth grade and eighth grade) for donating the raffle baskets.  There was much excitement as
the winners were called!

Dear Families,

Deacon Charlie's homily is challenging us to take time to understand the importance of prayer and to pause in the day to lift your prayers to God.  Our school mission statement acknowledges that we are partnering with you to share God's love with your children.  Every week, we are sending home a Gospel Family Activity.  The link is shared here in the newsletter under Family Faith Formation.  Your teachers are also sending it home.  We encourage you to take the time to teach your children how to pray and be reflective of the Gospel lessons.

We pray for our fellow Californians who are affected by the fires and our first responders.   I will be meeting with our Leading With Faith student leaders to plan a service project in support of the communities that have been affected by the fires and what we can do as a school.

Thursday is Halloween.  I encourage you to take extra precautions as you venture out to trick or treat in the evening.  We offer an alternative to trick or treating with a beautiful Halloween carnival.   There will be a taco truck, pizza wagon, Hawaiian shaved ice and more for sale.  A fun event is planned.  We hope you can join us.  Serendipity closes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.  If you intend to use Serendipity, please let Mrs. Golinveaux know.

There are costume guidelines that will be strictly adhered to. Absolutely no masks, blood or gore permitted.  Students who wear leggings must wear a skirt.

Join us for Friday's 10:00 a.m. mass.  Third grade will present their litany of saints.  It is a holy day of obligation.  We hope to see you!

In partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Principal

MISSION STATEMENT

Holy Rosary Elementary School, a ministry of Holy Rosary Church, rooted in the Dominican tradition of study, prayer and truth, provides a quality Catholic education and a foundation for higher learning and service within a diverse community.

We, in partnership with our families, are a faith community which shares its love of God and instills high academic values. We guide students to an understanding of who they are and an appreciation for what they can contribute to the world.
