Fun Facts about CSI

March 29, 1965- H.B. 313 divided the state into six junior college areas. Area 4 included Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, Twin Falls and parts of Elmore and Owyhee counties. Only one public college per area could exist until the first exceeded 1,000 full-time day students. To form a junior college district, at least four school districts were needed.

It's Spring Cleaning Time
Meet Our Growers

It's that time of year again when it's time to assess all the "stuff" around us at home and at work and possibly sort, tidy and clean.  Are all the visuals at your desk inspiring or distracting?  Does everything have purpose, function and value or could some things use a new home or add to a recycle bin on campus?

These may not be questions for the ages, but they are timely thoughts as Earth Day looms and our annual SWAP MEET and RECYCLE FEAT comes to CSI.  Remember, anything purchased through CSI belongs to CSI and must be returned if you're no longer using it.  Your personal items may be taken home or included in your office refuse as you wish.

Start making your mental notes now as we find a gathering place for your rejects during Earth Week starting Monday, April 20. Need help?  Learn "How Do I Get Rid of That?" online at KTVB and watch the eNotes for details as we prepare for EARTH DAY 2015.
"Eat Right for Life Cookbook Companion"
Coming to your Workplace

The final book in our series from the Wellness Council of America is coming to your workplace this week.  Dr. Ann's Cookbook is a companion to the  Eat Right for Life book we sent previously.  This book contains not only healthy and easy recipes, but it describes what the best diet should consist of from main courses to snacks.  All the ingredients are affordable, filling and will improve your health.  You'll love the beautiful images and easy-to-follow instructions for all the recipes.  This cookbook has been used in several of our classes for weight management and fitness on campus and we highly recommend it to you.

This book is being sent to your worksite today and should arrive soon.  Please ask the front office staff where it is being kept to share with all your coworkers.  Extra copies are available for loan in the Library as well.
