RATRandom Acts of Theater Presents "God of Carnage"

The Random Acts of Theatre Players proudly present Tony award winning play "God of Carnage" by Yasmina Reza, directed by Tony Mannen.
God of Carnage explores the intricacies of human relationships and social interactions with and without filters. Alan and Annette come to Michael and Veronica's home to discuss a playground altercation between their sons which results in one child's teeth being knocked out. What starts as a civil discourse quickly dissolves into a series of "Punch and Judy" style interactions between all four people involving vomit, art books, a cell phone and a hamster. That's just the tip of what goes on in this fast paced, sharp witted hit that played on Broadway and was made into a movie.
Show dates are January 12, 13 and 14 at 7:30 pm AND Saturday January 14 at 2:30 pm at the CSI Fine Arts Center Theatre.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online at www.ratplayers.com. (online tickets are subject to a small convenience fee.)

HerrettForumHerrett Forum: "Over the Rainbow: The LGBTQ Experience in the Magic Valley"
In his Herrett Forum lecture "Over the Rainbow," Brandon will share his experiences of growing up queer in the Magic Valley and discuss how he uses his art to explore the depths of LGBTQ repression with generous offerings of love and laughter to guide his audience to become blossoming souls of acceptance.

Brandon Scott Tesch is a Twin Falls hairdresser, performance artist, and a leading light in the local LGBTQ community. A native of the Magic Valley, Brandon experienced first-hand the stigma and prejudice of growing up gay in rural America. Mastering the art of styling hair and cultivating a loyal and loving clientele have been his professional focus over the last 17 years. Brandon also has a passion for the performing arts. When Brandon was 15, he discovered his alter ego, Ursula, a superhero version of himself that he uses to address the social stigmas and conflicts confronting the LGBTQ community. Last year, Brandon/Ursula created and performed Snake Snails and Puppy Dog Tails, a CSl Fine Arts Stage Door series production documenting Brandon's gender bending realization that his gender identity lies  "somewhere over the rainbow" -somewhere in the middle of the male-female gender spectrum. Brandon has also produced two benefit shows for Magic Valley Pride, delivered a spectacular performance in The Vagina Monologues, and contributed a presentation for Tedx Twin Falls.
