Teens will be doing  chessed  at Sonshine Community Services (women and children's shelter). Teens will learn about domestic violence in a safe environment, as well as help this organization that assists such victims. The volunteering may involve painting, building, and cleaning on the Sonshine premises. When was the last time you put on Tefillin? Whether it was last week, the day of your B’nai Mitzvah, or you are a first-timer, Beth Tzedec’s Tefillin Club is for you. On the fourth Sunday of the month (February 23rd, March 22nd, May 24th, and June 28th) we will gather at 8:30am to learn why this mitzvah is so important, brush up on your technique, and explore different teachings as to how to make the practice speak to today’s Jewish soul. So come one, come all (men and women, boys and girls) and begin to recapture this ancient practice. Tefillin are available at the Shul if you do not have your own. Light brunch served.
