Be The Spark
Have you ever considered the power of a single spark? How it can ignite a flame, bringing warmth, energy, and a sense of purpose? That's the core of our new campaign, "Be the Spark: Ignite a Future Leader," and we invite you to be that spark for the next generation. We believe that every individual has the potential to inspire and empower young people. Just as a spark can ignite a roaring flame, one dedicated leader can transform the lives of countless youth.

Campout Safety Checklist
Camping can be a rewarding experience in nearly any setting—whether it’s a weekend in the backcountry, a week at summer camp, or an adventure at one of the national high-adventure bases. When planning your trip, it’s important to think through the basics: who is going, what you’ll need, where and when you’ll camp, how you’ll get there, and why the outing matters. For a full campout safety checklist, please click here.

Heroism Award
During a heavy rainstorm on a busy street, Scout Leader Scott Lewis witnessed a car accident. After ensuring his family’s safety, he cautiously exited his vehicle and approached the damaged car. Inside, he found the driver, who was dazed and attempting to get out.
He quickly called 911, provided critical details to emergency responders, and performed a rapid check for visible injuries. While waiting for help to arrive, Scott kept the driver engaged in conversation, reassuring her and preventing her from leaving the vehicle and stepping into dangerous traffic.
Scott remained at the driver’s side until EMS arrived and took over. His steady presence and quick actions helped ensure the driver’s safety during a stressful and hazardous situation.
Congratulations to Scout Leader Scott Lewis on receiving this well-deserved award.
