Shalom  and hello everyone! I hope you are doing well.
Thanks to all who made this past shavuos a most successful and inspiring chag!

I don’t usually do this publicly, but I wish to express admiration and gratitude to Rebbetzin Ayelet for her incredible hosting of members (and soon to be members of Ohav Sholom) and orchim/guests in the community and shul, over an extremely busy and hectic three-day yontiv.
While others relaxed, Ayelet was busy.

Shopping, schlepping, cooking, preparing, planning, setting, cleaning, and more, this was her schedule throughout every single seudah on shavuos. At the last yontiv meal alone, Monday lunch, we served over 25 guests at our table.

There are no words. Just… thank you, and... this rebbetzin is amazing!

In addition to the full house for beautiful davening throughout the three-day yontiv, we enjoyed riveting lectures from Rabbi Yitzchak Gettinger and Rabbi Shlomo Besser on both days shavuos, in the afternoon.

What an incredible turnout for our leil tikkun shavuos on motzei shabbos as close to 200 people attended our shiur! Wow!

This was the largest turnout ever for our annual learn-a-thon as there wasn’t a seat available in the men or women sections.

The outpouring and wide interest demonstrate how relevant and hot button topic “Alternative lifestyles in Halacha” is today in the Jewish community. I am glad we did it!

I particularly want to thank my co-presenters, Professor Ari Afialo , and Benjamin Mizrahi , for their great support and wise contributions both before and after the shiur.

Thank you to our generous kiddush sponsors, the Chanowitz family - Ben, Buzzy & Ellen , for a super gala hot kiddush this Shabbos in memory of the Isha Chashuva, the incomparable and great Mrs. Anita Chanowitz, Chana bas Harav Binyomin and Henya Dina, a"h whose yahrtzeit is this week.

May her lofty neshama enjoy a big aliya in Gan Eden! Amen.

In case you haven’t yet, please make reservations NOW and join me next Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019 , at The Jewish Center, for Congregation Ohav Sholom’s Annual Dinner.

We are honoring an amazing couple, Dr. Raphael and Chasya Kelman , acknowledging their tireless efforts to benefit Ohav Sholom and the Upper West Side community and awarding the Osek B’tzorchei Tzibbur Award to Rabbi Mike Fine , who is devoted to acts of chessed shel emess, among his other wonderful works.

Won’t you help Ohav Sholom continue to provide inspirational programming for motivated Jews in the city and a warm, welcoming makom Torah U’tefilah on the Upper West Side?

Our annual dinner also helps us maintain the physical shul building with vital structural improvements and necessary maintenance.

Every member of Ohav Sholom should attend this important dinner to show you care and are critically involved/invested in the present and future of our beloved minyan.

There are no excuses! Just click HERE or call the office NOW and make your reservation.

I look forward to greeting you there, personally.

Have a wonderful shabbos,

See you in shul!
