GREETINGS FROM SPARTAN LANE
It was awesome to cheer on our girls’ and boys’ basketball teams this past Tuesday and last evening. The girls won the region championship for the first time in 20 years, and it was a fun celebration after the win. The boys won their game last night, finishing third in the region. Both teams will participate in the Class A Private state tournaments next week. Not only are we competing and playing well, but we are also having a little fun along the way. I am grateful for the energy, spirit and support for one another. This was especially gratifying this week, as we had to sort through potential weather issues and debated about delayed starts. If you know anyone in school leadership, their least favorite decision is whether or not to cancel school or have a delayed start. Fortunately, we made the right decisions this week and hope to do so again, the next time these issues present.
We have had another mild week relative to COVID-19. Since last week’s eSpartan, one colleague in the Middle School tested positive on Sunday. We also had a fifth grade student and a senior both test positive. Communication has remained open and honest between families and the school, and we are grateful for your continued partnership. We share the same goals - safe, in-person learning on Spartan Lane. Read more.
