Happy summer! Everyone in the Spartan community has earned a well-deserved holiday. A special thank you to our amazing faculty and staff, who have done fantastic work with our students over the course of the past school year. Our community is strong, and it has been awesome to celebrate our students’ accomplishments over the past week. I am not aware of many schools that averaged over $100,000 in scholarship monies for each member of the senior class, as the Class of 2021 was well over $8 million total in financial awards, not including the Zell Miller or HOPE Scholarships.

Our campus will be active this summer, with over 300 students signed up for summer programs starting on June 7, summer practices for a number of our teams, and several construction projects, all of which will benefit our students and community come the start of our new school year in August. These campus improvements are thanks to donors who prioritize the health and well-being of our school’s future. As you know, there will be various orientations and other important meetings, but the first official day of school will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021. We will have quite a few new families on our campus, and we thank you for reaching out and welcoming them to our community.  Read more.
Congratulations to the Class of 2021 for their beautiful commencement this past Sunday evening! This class of 83 newly-minted alumni will be attending 42 different colleges and universities across 20 states including Columbia, Duke, UGA, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, UNC-Chapel Hill, the University of Virginia, and NYU. One-third of the class will attend the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech, and ten of them will participate in collegiate athletics. Together they earned over $8 million in merit scholarships (not including HOPE or Zell Miller)--that's an average of $100,000 per student! They are actors, artists, athletes, and academics, and we are proud of their hard work and leadership during a difficult year. Way to go, Spartans!
