GREETINGS FROM SPARTAN LANE

Thank you! I am so happy with the start of our school year for our students in Preschool through Upper School. I have heard time and time again that this has been an awesome start to the year from colleagues, parents and students. None of us takes this for granted, and we are enjoying the energy and positive spirit. Children need boundaries and structure, and we spend a lot of time on expectations, accountability, age-appropriate discipline, and communication. I think this is a contributing factor to our early successes. It was awesome to see so many of our parents gather earlier this week for a positive parenting workshop led by therapist Leigh Ellen Magness. We are here to learn and grow with one another and create the best possible community for our young people. You too can help reinforce the importance of being kind and taking care of one another at home.  Read more.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

This month, I am excited to share about our Morning Meeting time!

Play. When we think about playing, what comes to our mind?

I may have started my own small tradition accidentally this year, or at least I’ve done something that I don’t think the students will accept my stopping.
