Live Streamed Easter Services

The Episcopal Church is live streaming several services from The Episcopal Church's Facebook page for those unable to attend a church in person.
  • April 18, 7:00 p.m. – Maundy Thursday: Holy Eucharist with Foot Washing.
  • April 19, 6:00 p.m. – Good Friday: Live Stations of the Cross
  • April 20, 8:30 a.m. – Holy Saturday: Breakfast at St. Paul’s/San Pablo
  • April 20, 7:00 p.m. – The Great Vigil of Easter
  • April 21, 11:00 a.m. – Easter Sunday: Festive Holy Eucharist
United Thank Offering set to award Over $1.5M

The United Thank Offering (UTO) Ingathering is set to award $1,535,740.55 in 2019, thanks to increased giving by people from across the church in 2018. UTO funds are granted on an annual basis to support mission across The Episcopal Church and throughout the Anglican Communion .

The latest issue of Episcopal Cursillo Ministry News is available to read online. It has more details about the national conference to be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in November this year.

BKSM Classes Starting in May

Classes in Anglican spirituality, diversity, and the Holy Spirit round out Bishop Kemper School for Ministry's (BKSM's) academic year. Registration for these courses is open now. Auditing the class costs just $100, which includes all meals and overnight accommodation at Upton Hall. Scholarships are available for lay students interested in taking the May classes .
The Book of Occasional Services 2018 Available for Download in English & Spanish

The Book of Occasional Services 2018, a companion volume to The Book of Common Prayer, is a collection of liturgical resources related to occasional services not found in The Book of Common Prayer. The rites and ceremonies contained in this book are to be understood, interpreted, and used in light of the theology, structure, and directions of The Book of Common Prayer .
Cowley Magazine Online

The Spring 2019 issue of Cowley Magazine from the Society of Saint John the Evangelist features several articles on the subject of 'retreat'. You may be surprised to discover that even monks go on retreat. Retreat - hear the call to become lost in love with God .

When sending images, please let us know where the picture was taken, the names of any people in the image and who took the picture. We don't publish photo credits for pictures used in the daily prayers, but we will if the photos are used elsewhere .

North Youth Dinner

The school year is coming to a close and it is time to say goodbye to longtime friends and welcome some new ones! We will be recognizing our graduating seniors and this is a fun event to welcome our incoming 6th grade class. Come learn about the opportunities and events offered around our network. Our dinner will be provided by different congregations in the area. This event is open to students currently in 5th-12th Grades. Parents are welcome to join us as well.

All clergy & wardens with cures and church administrators should have received Bishop Marty's visitation and Area Confirmation schedule for September 2019 through August 2020. Please review the schedule and contact Emily Davenport, Bishop Marty's Executive Assistant ( bishopsassistant@diowestmo.org) if there are any schedule conflicts.

Roanridge Trust Grants Deadline April 30

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Roanridge Trust Grant Awards. Dioceses, congregations and Episcopal-related organizations and institutions are invited to apply. Offered annually, Roanridge Trust Grants support creative models of leadership development, training, and ministries in small towns and rural communities across The Episcopal Church. Awards generally range from $5,000 to $20,000 and are given to help equip leaders who serve as catalysts for civil and social well-being in rural municipalities where the community is uniquely interwoven with the vitality of the local church.

Form for Booking the Diocesan Conference Room and Online Meetings

We have introduced a new form on the website to enable you to book the Diocesan Center Conference Room and/or book online meetings. The Conference Room is equipped with a large-screen monitor, computer, and video camera for online meetings. We have a similarly equipped satellite facility in the parish hall at St. John's Episcopal Church in Springfield.Both online meetings and presentations to up to 250 people can be managed with the software licenses held by the diocese .

Episcopalians and friends concerned about all of God’s creation are invited to join Presiding Bishop Michael Curry in pledging to take action to protect and renew God’s world and all who call it home. The goal is to gather at least 1,000 pledges with concrete, personal commitments by Earth Day, April 22 .
