This Week
Cafeteria Monitor Positions  
St. Pius X Catholic High School is currently seeking organized, energetic individuals for cafeteria monitors.  Qualifications include: self-starter, team player, strong interpersonal skills, flexible, comfortable working with teenagers and with a set discipline system; treat students and colleagues with kindness and respect at all times.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent St. Pius X Catholic High School in a professional manner is a must.  High school diploma minimum requirement.  Ability to work Monday - Friday 3+ hours per day on a school lunch schedule, to rotate in with current cafeteria monitors.
 
Interested candidates may submit a letter of interest to Mrs. Marsha Free, Executive Assistant to the Principal, as soon as possible.

From the Business Office: Re-Enrollment Fee
A $250 for one student/$350 for more than one student non-refundable fee will automatically be charged to your FACTS Incidental Billing account in March 2020 (for the 2020-2021 school year) for the current 9th, 10th and 11th graders.  If your student does not plan to return to St. Pius X for the 2020-2021 school year, you must complete the online Intent Not to Return Form by February 29, 2020 in order to not be charged the fee.  If you miss this deadline, you will be charged the non-refundable re-enrollment fee. 
Mothers' Prayer Group, February 19
Mothers' Prayer Group will meet Wednesday, February 19
from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the school chapel. Click here if you can join us this month.  This is simply so that you will receive an additional email reminder the week of; certainly feel free to just show up without signing up, we are quite flexible and happy to have you join us when and for however long you can! 
St. Pius X Women's "SoulCare" Retreat, February 22 
REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Current and former St. Pius X mothers, faculty and staff, and other St. Pius X community women may register now.  Click here to register.

The annual morning retreat, held from 8 a.m.-1 p.m at St. Pius X, is a time for the women of St. Pius X to come together to celebrate Mass in the Chapel with Fr. Rey, followed by inspirational activities, a delicious brunch, and fun fellowship with other St. Pius X women.  The "self-care" theme will inspire and allow space for personal rejuvenation before the Lenten season begins. F ormer St. Pius X mom and accomplished author, Julia McDermott, will share how she  navigated life in faith with her son's cancer diagnosis, as told in her memoir,  All the Above . A  SoulCore class (prayerful moving meditation) and bracelet-making craft are also part of the morning.  The event is sponsored by St. Pius X Mothers' Club so there is no cost to attend, but space is limited and registration is required.  
SAVE THE DATE!  Oklahoma! March 5-8
All of you cowboys and cowgirls join the Pius Players for an Oklahoma hoedown! March 5-8 in the Msgr. Terry Young Center of Performing Arts at St. Pius X Catholic High School. The cost is only $10.00, and all students of St. Pius X receive free tickets! Come on down to the farm for one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's greatest shows, Oklahoma! .  We'll see you there. 
Reminders
From the Registrar
Families are required to update their student's demographic, guardian, emergency contact, and medical records each year in February by completing a series of forms in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Forms will be available on Wednesday, February 19, and will remain available until Friday, February 28. Forms not submitted by the deadline will incur a $50 late fee per month beginning with the March FACTS billing. Instructions will be sent to your email when the forms are available.
Counseling Office Presentation: Paying for College
Come learn about some of the ins and outs of paying for college. The counseling office is hosting a financial aid and scholarship night, with presenter Jennifer Shaughnessy. This parent night is open to all 9th-12th grade parents. Please plan to attend  Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Young Center
Juried Art Exhibition February 28
You don't want to miss the upcoming 16 th  Annual St. Pius X  Juried Art Exhibition on February 28.  Arrive at the Young Center at 6:30 p.m. and walk the red carpet to see incredible student artwork and the awards and reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. This year we are fortunate to have Atlanta based artist - Jennifer Cawley - St. Pius X alumna and art educator, as our juror and presenter of awards. It promises to be a great show and the students and Ms. Brannon are excited to show off their accomplishments over the past year!
Friday Adoration Information
Every Friday during the school year, we have the gift of Adoration available to the St. Pius X community in the school chapel.  All are welcome to drop in during the school day for any amount of time or you may sign up for a holy hour here.   The new year is a great time to commit to a weekly or monthly Adoration hour.  If you are in need of a quiet hour of prayer, please sign up!  Any questions, feel free to contact Vivian Knoerle or Kim Mount.  
Georgia ADAP Certificate Information
Parents/Students needing a Georgia ADAP certificate should send an e-mail to  Chad Garrison with the following information:

1. Full name as it appears on the child's birth certificate
2. Date of birth
3. School year and semester the student took health

Please send the request at least three days before the certificate is needed.  This should be requested ONLY if your child is testing for a Georgia Driver's License.
