Student Attendance Reminders

  • If you are sick and not coming to school, a parent must call the Attendance Office (404-636-3023 x228) by 9:00 a.m.
  • If you are late to school/tardy, you MUST come to the Attendance Office and sign in on the tablet. You must have a note from a parent or doctor, or a parent must call by 9:00 a.m.
  • If you are coming from a doctor's appt, please bring a doctor's office provided school excuse to check in (not a parent note saying you had a doctor's appointment). This medical tardy will not add to your 7 allowed tardies.
  • If you are leaving early, you MUST sign out at the Attendance Office. You sign your name on the “SIGN OUT” log. Must have a signed note from a parent, or a parent must come to the Attendance Office to sign you out. Students MAY NOT leave after 2:30 p.m.
  • If you go to the Clinic, Counseling, Deans, or anywhere at the beginning of class, and did not check in with your teacher first, stop by the Attendance Office on your way back to class, so Mrs. Polzin knows where you were.
  • Informed Absence – When you know ahead of time that you are going to miss school for a FULL day (not a partial day), bring a signed note from your parent at least the day before. Mrs. Polzin will give you the form that you will need to get signed by your teachers.
  • If you and your parents have a different last name, please make sure both last names are on the note.
  • When your parents are going to be out of town, your parents must write Mrs. Polzin a note to let her know and include who is responsible for you during their absence.

This information is in your Student Handbook. Please refer to it as needed.

Welcome Back, St. Pius X Golden Lion families! We hope you had a memorable summer. The Home & School Association extends a warm WELCOME to all our new families. We're so happy you've chosen to join our school community. We're excited for the year ahead and hope we can count on all our families to contribute to the success of the various school events we support.

Home & School will be using this space to keep the parent community informed of ways to be involved throughout the year. Volunteerism is at the core of how we can serve the students, parents, faculty, and staff of our great SPX community, and it's the BEST way to get to know each other and feel engaged where our students learn and mature every day. Be sure to explore all the ways you can help make a difference, whether on campus or behind the scenes. Our contributions are necessary to the mission of St. Pius X, and we are grateful for your support.

Did You Know? Each SPX class has parent representatives on the Home & School Board who attend monthly meetings and provide an avenue for your feedback, dialogue, and information sharing with the SPX Administration. Please take some time to get to know your Parent Class Representatives by clicking on the links below and reach out to them at their contact information available in the directory:

If interested in serving as a parent class representative on the Home and School Association Board, please submit your information on the Volunteer Survey Form or via email to homeandschool@spx.org. Freshman Parent Grade Representatives will be selected by early September.

Beginning in July, a late fee of $25 will be charged each month to any FACTS account with a past-due balance of 30 days or more. This includes tuition and incidental fees. It also applies to auto debits that are returned by the bank for any reason. This policy is mandated by the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Refer to the St. Pius Handbook for further information.

Check your FACTS account to be sure your tuition AND incidental fees are set up for auto-pay so that your payment will not be late.
