The SPX English Department is excited to help keep our students engaged in both purpose and pleasure reading over the summer. The annual Summer Reading initiative is underway, and it includes both required reading(s) and a choice reading component for each English course at SPX. Happy reading!

It's time to schedule your senior portraits! Scheduling is open now, so please make an appointment as soon as possible. Remember that to appear in the SPX senior portrait section of the yearbook, students must have a photo done at Art of Life. All sessions must be completed by the end of August!

Clinic News

• All students with allergies that require an epipen need an allergy action plan on file for each new school year. These must be renewed each year.  
• All students with asthma who require an inhaler need an asthma action plan on file for each new school year. These also must be renewed each year.
• Incoming freshmen and new students: if your student has a chronic condition, please reach out to the clinic for more information on forms that may be needed. You can email Melissa Petersen at mpetersen@spx.org.
• Parents of current 10th grade students: your child MUST have an updated 3231 Immunization form once they turn 16. This is an Archdiocese of Atlanta requirement, as well as a requirement of the state of Georgia.

Roar Store Exam Week Hours

The Roar Store will be open during exam week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Home & School Association Board is seeking a parent to serve as Vice President of Finance (Treasurer) for a term of two school years. This Executive Committee position entails budget planning, expense reimbursement, and preparation of financial reports for monthly Home & School Board meetings, and it will require pre-planning during the summer months. Parents in all grade levels are welcome to nominate themselves for this position. If interested in serving as VP of Finance, please email homeandschool@spx.org for more information.

Senior Parents: Please donate your uniform pieces in the front office through May 22. (Old-style polos will no longer be accepted.)
