GRACE Scholars Transitioning to GOAL

Archbishop Hartmayer has announced the transition from our current Student Scholarship Organization (SSO), GRACE Scholars, to GOAL (Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning). Since 2008, students have had access to scholarship dollars through SSOs like GRACE and GOAL. Scholarships are funded through an Education Expense Credit law, which allows taxpayers to designate a portion of their state taxes to scholarships at schools like St. Pius X.

The transition to GOAL will begin this summer. Please see below for some key information for both donors as well as scholarship recipients. More information will be shared as this transition continues.

DONORS

The tax credit transition to GOAL will occur on July 1, 2024, when pre-registration for the 2025 tax year opens for donors.
Links to pre-register will be sent in July.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The scholarship transition to GOAL will begin with the 2025-2026 school year.
GRACE Scholars will continue to process all student scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year.
Under GOAL, families will still need to qualify through FACTS Grant and Aid to establish financial need, and scholarships should not exceed 80% of established financial need.

Thank you to the St. Pius X parent community for your support of and contributions to the many Home & School-sponsored events during the 2023-2024 school year. Parental involvement and collaboration at events such as Career Day, Blood Drives, Honors Assemblies, Field Day, and Class Tailgates benefit our students, faculty & staff, and the entire Golden Lion community. We are grateful for your help in making this school year such a great success. Be on the lookout later this summer for more information on ways you can get involved and support the Home & School Association. Have a safe, fun summer!
