Out-of-Uniform Fundraiser to Benefit Hurricane Victims

On Wednesday, October 16, we will hold an out-of-uniform fundraiser to benefit hurricane relief for victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. All money raised will be donated to Catholic Charities to assist in the immediate needs of those affected by both hurricanes.

The cost to come out of uniform will be $5; participating students’ FACTS accounts will be billed. If a family feels compelled to donate more for Hurricane Relief, please CLICK HERE to donate through FACTSNote: This will be in addition to the $5 charged for students who present themselves out of uniform on Wednesday.

We are grateful for your support of our efforts to help our brothers and sisters affected by these horrible storms in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. If you would prefer to donate directly to Catholic Charities USA through the Archdiocese of Atlanta, please click here.

SPX Alumni, Parents, & Friends - The 2024 Career Day Needs You!

Save the Date: Friday, November 8, 8:30-11 a.m.

Our students are often asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Being a presenter at the 2024 SPX Career Day is a perfect way to help them confidently answer this question.

SPX Career Day is an opportunity for alums, parents, and friends to directly impact our junior and senior students' futures. With a wide range of careers, we would like to showcase them during this event, and we need your help. We welcome first-time and returning presenters!

As a presenter, you will host one or two in-person sessions, presenting 15-20 minutes of material regarding your career and fielding questions from the students. This simple, 2.5-hour commitment is one of the most significant contributions you can make at St. Pius X. Please sign up by October 28.

NHS is hosting all freshmen to the Freshman Study Skills Session on Thursday, October 17, in the library classroom during all lunch periods. Freshmen will learn study strategies, how to succeed in freshman-specific courses, and organizational skills.

LOOKING AHEAD...

Gather your friends to create a table of fun at Advent by Candlelight. This annual event always fills up, with one woman signing up to be a table hostess for up to 10 women. Each table hostess coordinates food and decorations for the group. The signup link will be sent to Mothers' Club members in early November. If space remains, the signup link will be shared in the eSpiritus. Our speaker this year is Paula Umana, a local author who recently spoke at the National Eucharistic Congress. Contact Dede Casal at casal1@spxstudent.org with any questions.
