A Reflection On Student Service
When I am asked what makes Tampa Catholic special, I often speak about our students’ commitment to serving others. Community service can become another requirement to complete or an accomplishment to list on a college application. At TC, I see something deeper. The response our student volunteers receive from the community reflects the care they bring to the
people they serve.
This year, as we focus on the corporal works of mercy, we are called to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, and walk alongside those who are marginalized. Jesus teaches us that when we care for “the least of my brothers,” we care for Him. I am proud of the ways our students answer that call, and grateful to the families, teachers, and staff who help them carry that commitment beyond their years at TC.

TC Kicks Off Crusader for a Day 2026
| |
August 2027 is 10 months away, but it is never too soon to start preparing for the Class of 2031 who will make this wonderful place their Home on Rome for the next four years.
Crusader for a Day is the 8th Grade Shadow Program that welcomes hundreds of prospective students to TC's campus for them to get a taste of a day in the life of a TC student. October 1 marked the first CFAD session of this year, and it was a blessing to have the opportunity to meet so many potential Crusaders! Each Thursday in October, TC will welcome a group of 8th graders for the experience.
There are still two more dates available to sign up for Crusader for a Day. Register via button below.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
TC Students Learn How to Salsa
| |
Educating is so much more than lecturing & administering tests; especially when it comes to learning about and appreciating the history of cultures throughout the world.
Thanks to the World Languages Department, Hispanic Honor Society, and Spanish Club, our students had to opportunity to learn the traditional Salsa by professional dance teachers as a way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and immerse themselves in their cultural studies.

Peru Mission Trip for TC Mothers
The Moms in Peru Immersion also offers something especially valuable for our network. It brings together mothers from different Edmund Rice schools across North America, allowing them not only to experience the mission but also to build relationships with one another and return home as wonderful partners in strengthening the charism within their own school communities.
The two options for August 2027 provide an opportunity either to participate in the Lima immersion alone or to extend the experience to include the Andes and Machu Picchu.
Michelle Rapier of the Christian Brothers Network will host an information zoom on October 6 at 4:00pm PST for any moms interested. Here is a sign up for the zoom.
