Tampa Catholic Community Celebrates
Easter Sacraments
| | |
This Easter weekend, the Tampa Catholic community joyfully celebrates with several students, faculty, and staff as they receive the sacraments of initiation into the Catholic faith. Through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation, these individuals are taking meaningful steps in their faith journeys, supported by the prayers and love of our entire Crusader family.
On Saturday evening at the St. Lawrence Easter Vigil Mass, we welcome three students who will receive all of their sacraments of initiation—Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation:
- Autumn Castro-Sanchioni '26
- Ellie Collins '26
- Jayden-Thomas Dolan '27
On Easter Sunday at the St. Lawrence 10 AM Mass, the following students will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, sealing the gifts of the Holy Spirit and affirming their commitment to a life of faith:
- Noelle Woods '26
- Alex Blandon '26
- Morgan Greaux '26
- Kamryn Christy '27
- Alex (Claire) Etzkorn '27
- Jordan Conrad '27
- Gabriela Linden '27
- Viviana Marrero '27
- Gabriela Barcelo '27
- Sophia Sarduy '28
- Julian Jimenez '28
- Giavanna Lopez '28
We are also proud to celebrate two members of our faculty and staff who are receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Lawrence. Vice Principal Cheriese Edwards will be confirmed alongside our students at the 10 AM Mass, and IT Assistant Miguel Martinez will be confirmed at the 5 PM Spanish Mass.
These moments are powerful reminders of God’s presence in our lives and the strength of our Catholic community. Please join us in offering prayers of support and congratulations for all those receiving sacraments this Easter.

Senior exams are scheduled for April 29th through May 2nd. We have made a few changes this year, so please consult the linked schedule carefully.
-
Exams have been scheduled by CLASS PERIOD. So, if the schedule says period A, students will go to their period A classroom and take their exam with their period A teacher.
- Please note that there are some courses that do not have exams during exam week; these are listed in the schedule linked below. Your student does not need to be present at school during class periods without exams.
- Students may leave school after each exam; students may arrive at school late if their only exam is scheduled later in the day. If a student has two exams in one day, they may leave in between, as long as they return for the second exam.
- Seniors must wear their full school uniform to ALL exams.
-
Students who are absent MUST have a doctor's note in order to be rescheduled to take a missed exam. Please refer to pages 6, 7, and 8 of the Parent/Student handbook. Administration will schedule make-up exams.
- If a student has two exams scheduled for the same time, Mrs. Kim Freeman (Administrative Assistant to the Vice Principal and Dean of Student Life) will be in contact to resolve the conflict.
Semester exams are an important measure of what students know and are able to do. Without a strong finish to the school year, Seniors are not guaranteed full participation in commencement activities. Thank you for your continued commitment to academic excellence as we conclude this exciting chapter in your students' lives!

| | In the Catholic faith tradition, we do not shy away from the difficulties of life. We acknowledge them as a participation in the cross of our Lord. Today, Good Friday, the juxtaposition of “good” and the crucifixion stand intertwined, demanding to be acknowledged, with all the sadness and gratitude a heart can muster. May we unite ourselves, with filial faith, in the One that gave it all for us so that we might persevere through this life with hope in Him alone. | | |
Be sure to keep up with all things Crusader!
