In the fall, we adjusted how exams were administered by having classroom teachers proctor their own exams in their own classrooms. The student and teacher response to this change was overwhelmingly positive. We will administer Senior exams this way in the spring as well in order to provide the best testing experience for our students. Facilitating this change requires some adjustments to our school schedule during the week of April 28th, however.
For three days (April 29th through May 1st), Tampa Catholic High School will adopt a modified block schedule. This exciting opportunity will allow our senior teachers to administer their own exams in their own classrooms and underclass teachers and students to experience the benefits of a block schedule, including extended class time for labs and other hands-on learning experiences. Underclass students will have the same amount of instructional time in each class period as they do in a typical week; the time will be spread out differently.
Please note the following calendar changes that impact SENIOR EXAMS and our SCHOOL-WIDE SCHEDULE during the week of April 28th. These changes should be reflected in our school calendar found online as well. More information about Senior exams will be published in the coming weeks.

Crusaders Advocate for the Unhoused
with Dawning Family Services
| | Tampa Catholic students recently took part in an advocacy sleep-out, gaining a deeper understanding of homelessness in Tampa and ways to take action. Partnering with Dawning Family Services, they learned about the challenges faced by unhoused individuals and were inspired to make a difference. Their efforts led to the creation of 200 “blessing bags” filled with essential items for those in need. We are proud of our Crusaders for living out our mission of faith and service! | | |
“Faith and Hope” is our community-wide theme for April. Once again, the liturgical season aligns so beautifully for us. We are still navigating through the desert of Lent but the end is near! We have been and are still journeying with enduring faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We have faith that He will sustain us as we continue our sacrifices and we have faith that these sacrifices will increase our holiness. All of this leads to the bubbling up of hope. “We who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” Hb6:18
His glorious Resurrection lies before us! Hold fast in faith and hope, dear friends.
