Greetings!
The textile industry's meeting season, albeit virtual, is in full spring swing. I've certainly attended my share of webinars, conferences, seminars, etc. in the last few weeks, and the calendar is pretty packed in May. Several events are on tap for next week, including the Americas Apparel Producers' Network's pro:Americas Annual Conference and the second Southern Textile Association Joint Northern & Southern Division Spring Meeting featuring Sara Beatty of the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO). Both are May 4, and because they are online, I'll be able to finally clone myself and attend two functions at once, thanks to two laptops, two digital recorders and four eyes. (Multitasking is my middle name.)
If you're involved in or interested in supplying textiles or components to the U.S. military, I'd like to alert you to a conference set for May 18-20. A top-notch program for the Southeast Federal & Defense (FEDTex) Summit has been organized by the N.C. Military Business Center (NCMBC).
This week, please welcome new or returning newsletter advertisers: A. B. Carter, Inc., a longtime products and solutions provider to the global spinning industry; and INDA, The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry. As a charter advertiser (since 2014!) on eTC's website, A. B. Carter helped get this thing off the ground and has been unwavering in its support and advocacy of this publication. And INDA is promoting one of the industry's first in-person events this year, its World of Wipes International Conference, scheduled for July 12-15 in Atlanta. Please click on their ads to learn more. Thank you both!
