Words of Inspiration

Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments,

for I delight in it.

GCCS Community Celebrates Grace Night!

That was fun! Some of our greatest occasions occur when all levels of our school community gather together. Current and prospective Grace Christian students enjoyed a night of fun and games at Tuesday's Cascade Christian/North Valley boys' basketball game.

Not only were the kids treated to a Challenger victory to enjoy watching, but they got to go down to the court for a little competition as well- shooting basketballs to try to win prizes.

The pictures tell the story, our kids had a blast. Thank you all for coming out and cheering on our Challengers. For a number of these kids, we'll be cheering them on as they don the purple and gold.

Auction Drive Underway:

Next Up- Crazy Hair Day!

Well, hey there, Grace families! Swingin' job on week one of our Rockin' Auction Donation Drive! Looks like Team Fonzarelli’s takin’ the lead with 26 donations. Team Kool Kats isn’t far behind, so keep your eyes on the prize! A big shoutout to Mrs. Bull, Mrs. Knight, Mrs. Carte, and Mrs. Lockwood’s classes for hitting their goal of 5 donations or more this week. They got to enjoy some tasty cookies at lunch today, and let me tell you, those cookies were the talk of the town!

Now, let’s keep this groovy momentum going! This week, we’re aiming for even more donations. Classes that bring in 10 or more donations will be treated to a special surprise at lunch next Tuesday. And don’t forget, this week’s dress-up day is "Crazy Hair Day!" So let those locks run wild!

The class that brings in the most donations at the end of the donation drive will score the grand prize — a $250 Amazon classroom gift card! How cool is that?

Keep up the good work, everybody — you’re all doing a dynamite job!

4th Grade Fun With Math

Wait- you can put the words "fun," and "math" in the same sentence? Is it possible? In Mrs. Amann's fourth grade class, it is.

Dodecahedrons are 12-sided dice. Students would roll the dice to determine a divisor, and then roll an additional four to seven times to determine a dividend. The kids worked out all of their problems before checking their quotients by using their multiplication skills.

The class also rolled dodecahedrons for unique double-digit multiplication problems to review their prior knowledge.

Reading Hall of Fame Race Tightening

Mrs. Skelton has another great report to share on the Reading Hall of Fame race. More classes have entered the fray, and it's getting close!

She says, "What another amazing week for the Reading Hall of Fame!! We now have all classes on the graph and a neck-and-neck competition between Mrs. Knight’s class and Mrs. Scaglione’s class has emerged. Mrs. Bull’s class is moving up quick and so is Mrs. Amann’s. I wonder who will be the first to earn the extra checkout reward? Keep Reading!!!"

Remember if you need more entry forms, they are in the library or on FACTS.

CASCADE CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey there! Do you know anyone who might be thinking about attending Cascade Christian Middle or High School next year?

We’re excited to celebrate our annual Challenger Night on Friday, January 31st at 6:15 PM, and we’d love it if you could help us spread the word! This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective families to enjoy a free night out, meet our Principals, hear their vision for the school, get questions answered, learn about our sports programs and extracurricular activities, and experience our vibrant Cascade community.

Challenger Night is the perfect chance to connect with other families considering our school, as well as those who have already made Cascade their home. And of course, there’s a great basketball game too! It’s going to be a fun-filled night, and we can't wait to see you there!

Please contact Dana Kloefkorn at dkloefkorn@gracechristian.org for more information and to register for the event.

Cascade Food Drive Makes A Difference

Remember our food drive in December? The results are in, and the campaign made an impact in helping the needy in our community.

We received a message from the President of Medford Food Project, Marcy Bliss. She says "Cascade Christian, combined with one other school, made an incredible contribution, collecting a total of 2,414 pounds! These donations filled 70 boxes which were distributed among 12 pantries. This means each pantry received nearly six extra boxes compared to usual—a huge boost to support the community."

The organization collected 34,787 total pounds of food in December. Bliss thanks GCCS for our part in the effort.

The CCHS Ski Club is wrapping up this Saturday. Lynsey Turek, who coordinates this opportunity here at Cascade tells us that eight students signed up this year to enjoy the snow and continue growing in their skiing and snowboarding skills.

Pictured here are a few of those club members taking to the mountains to enjoy one of many opportunities we have to experience God's creation in Southern Oregon.
