Decision Sundays
Have you made a decision? At some point in our lives, we all need to make a decision about Jesus.

If you’re ready to be baptized or want to discuss the next step in your relationship with Jesus with a minister, elder or ministry leader, we encourage you to join us for one of our Decision Sundays in April — April 18 & April 25 — from 12:15 to 1:00 PM in the Worship Center. Anyone with questions about their faith are encouraged to come.

If you need more info about our Decision Sundays in April, please contact Alison Morrow.
Care Ministry: Volunteers Needed
The Care Ministry seeks to provide shepherd-like care as we follow Jesus together. Within this ministry there are various areas where together we can show compassion and concern for one another.

If you are interested in being a Care Ministry Volunteer, simply visit our website and click on all the areas that are of interest to you and someone from the Care Ministry will be in contact with more information. Questions? Please contact Tom Sherrod.
Join us for worship this Sunday!
We ask that you please register for in-person worship. We need you to do this for two reasons:

  1. If someone who attended in-person worship tests positive for COVID, we are obligated to inform you of possible exposure. We cannot inform you if you don't register.
  2. Seating is limited. To ensure that we are able to keep everyone at a safe distance, we need to know how many to expect on Sunday during each service.
For additional details on what we are doing to make in-person worship services safer, please visit our website.

NOTE: Kid's Worship & Preschool classes are available during the 9:45 and 11:11 AM service only.
Connect Class
Our Connect Class, led by Community Life Minister, Austin Seevers, will answer your questions about faith, baptism, church membership and our vision for Worthington Christian Church.

We will offer this class in a hybrid format on Sunday, May 16 from 11:00 AM to Noon in rm. 120 and through Zoom. It will be in a relaxed atmosphere that allows for honest questions while we take a closer look at what we believe and how we respond to those beliefs.
Baby Dedication
On Mother’s Day — Sunday, May 9 — at the conclusion of each service, we will have our Baby Dedication Ceremony.

Our Baby Dedication is about more than just introducing your child to the congregation, it is a time when we as a church publicly partner with you to pray for that child and help you to teach them about what it means to follow Jesus. Raising a child is a journey full of excitement, joy and challenges and we want to support you every step of the way.
If you would like to come forward during worship services on Sunday, May 9, please let us know by emailing Carrie Wiley. In your email, please include:
  • parent names
  • baby’s full name
  • baby’s birthdate
  • sibling names
  • what service you plan to attend

If you would also like your child to be included in the slideshow, please include a photo of your child in that email OR upload your photo(s) to Dropbox anytime between now and April 29.

NOTE: You can participate in the slideshow without coming forward in-person on May 9.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School has always been dedicated to teaching children about God. Through music & song, Bible lessons, skits and various activities, we share the good news that God loves YOU to each and every child.

That will never change, even if the traditional format of VBS does.

To learn more about our plans for Vacation Bible School, please visit our website. While there you may register your child for VBS or sign-up to serve as a volunteer. Questions? Please contact our VBS Director.
Kids Ministry: Rise Up
Grab your hiking boots and pitch a tent. It’s time to summit through the story of Jesus—who rose from death and gave us everything we need for our journey.

This month, we’re learning about how the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection strengthens us and changes our relationships in the best way. Everyone will have a chance to put these ideas in their backpack to carry with them always:

  • Jesus overcame death.
  • Jesus connects us to each other.
  • Jesus gives encouragement.
  • We are stronger with Jesus.
"Rise Up" is our curriculum for April 2021. Teaching videos, notes and coloring pages will be available on our Kids Ministry page. If you would like to join us in-person on Sunday mornings, you may do so during the 9:45 AM service, but registration is requested.
Is your son or daughter going to Move or Mix this summer?
CIY MIX is a four-day event from July 5-8 at the Indiana Wesleyan University designed specifically for your middle school students (grades 5-7). MIX is intentionally crafted in ways that will engage middle school students through tactile, interactive and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction.

The cost is $300/student with a $75 deposit.

Our high school students (grades 8-12) are going to a high-energy five-day event designed to amplify the call of Christ on their lives.

CIY MOVE will be held at Milligan University in Tennessee from June 21-26. Students will learn & worship together as they spend quality time with their church youth groups and discover ways that God will use them to impact the world. The cost is $325/student with a $75 deposit.

Blood Drive: Monday, May 10
If you have never donated blood, or it's been years since your last donation, please consider donating at our drive on Monday, May 10 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the Atrium.

Your donation of one pint of blood can be used to help patients suffering from Sickle Cell disease, cancer, chronic illness or trauma. In fact, your one donation has the potential to save up to three lives!

The process to donate blood is easier than you think. After answering a few short questions and a brief medical check, you'll be taken to a bed where the donation will begin. The donation itself generally takes about 10 minutes, but if you really want to save time, consider using the RapidPass system!
For more information on the donation process, please visit the Red Cross website. Remember -- one hour and one pint of blood are all it takes to make a major difference in someone's life!
Monthly Prayer

A Prayer of Worship: Lord, we worship you and know by your love, you created us in your image to worship you and be in a forever relationship with you. (Luke 19:40)
