Women's Ministry: The Book of John devotional
Join us as we read through the Book of John together!

The Book of John is the testimony of "the disciple whom Jesus loved," and it provides a detailed account of Christ’s words and miracles. To prepare our hearts for Christmas, we will read through the remarkable Book of John together!

Beginning Monday, October 30, through Friday, December 22, we will send out a daily devotional (Monday through Friday) via email to registered participants. These 40 devotions will include short videos from ’The Bible Project’ and "Spoken Gospel."
We pray that many of you will want to connect with God each day, knowing other women are also studying God’s Word with you!
Operation Christmas Child
Christmas is the time of year when we celebrate and remember the gift of Jesus to a world that desperately needs a savior. His birth, ministry, death, and resurrection give us the eternal hope that moves us to serve our Lord and the teachings that define what it means to “love our neighbor.”

We encourage our members to pack a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. It is a wonderful way to share God’s great love with the world's children! Each shoebox is unique and filled with gifts to offer encouragement, fun, and joy!
Our goal is to pack or build 500 shoeboxes this Christmas!

Empty shoeboxes will be available this Sunday in the Atrium. Supplies are limited, so be sure to pick up your box early! For great ideas and suggestions on filling your shoebox, please visit the OCC website.

The deadline to return your filled shoeboxes is Sunday, November 12.
Connect Class
Are you new (or newish) to Worthington Christian Church? If so, then the Connect Class is for you!

Our Connect Class, led by Teaching Minister Austin Seevers, will answer your questions about faith, baptism, church membership, and our vision for WCC.

We will offer this class on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 11:00 AM to Noon in room 120. It will be in a relaxed atmosphere that allows for honest questions while we closely examine what we believe and how we respond to those beliefs.

Questions? Please contact Patti Remaklus.
REACH: Phase 1
Our focus during October continues to be on the Kids and Youth areas.

Wiring, plumbing, and HVAC work continues in the Kids Area, but painting has begun in the Youth Center (formerly the Family Life Center). The new paint looks quite a bit different than the old paint, so definitely check out the photos we posted on our social media pages to get a look!

We aim to post progress photos every Wednesday on our social media pages (Facebook, X/Twitter, and Instagram), so please be sure to like and subscribe. We will also make updates to our REACH Initiative website as needed.
We expect Phase 1 to wrap up by mid-December. If that changes, we will let you know as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience, prayers, and support during this phase of the REACH Initiative!
Worthington Resource Pantry
We want to follow Jesus together and part of that is being a good neighbor. How can we accomplish that? By doing what we can to meet the needs of a neighbor in crisis. Therefore, we will continue to support the Worthington Resource Pantry for the foreseeable future.

CURRENT NEEDS:
  • Canned Soup
  • Cereal
  • Canned Chicken or Tuna
  • Baby Food and Baby Formula
  • Diapers (all sizes, but larger sizes are needed the most)
  • Pet food
You may drop off your donations at any time. A blue donation bin will be available at each of the entrances to the church and we regularly empty the bins to make room for additional items. If you have any questions, please contact Patti Remaklus.
Blood Drive on Dec. 4
Our next blood drive is on Monday, December 4, from Noon to 6:00 PM in the Atrium.

Who can you help by donating blood?

  • Cancer Patients
  • Patients with Chronic Diseases
  • Burn Patients
  • Trauma Patients
  • Sickle Cell Patients

Someone in our community -- perhaps someone in your neighborhood -- will need a blood transfusion. You can be the person who helps save their life.
