Youth Ministry to Delaware Lanes on Aug. 22
The summer is winding down and it’s time to get ready for school. But before we head back to class, let’s get together for an evening of fun at Delaware Lanes!

On Sunday, August 22 we’re heading to Delaware Lanes for our Back-to-School event. Our theme for the night is “I love the 90’s!” so feel free to dress the part and have fun! (Flannel, grunge, baggy pants… the works!) The evening will begin at 5:00 PM in the Youth Cafe with food. Then we’ll head out to Delaware Lanes from 6:00 to about 7:45 PM for bowling. (We should be back at church by 8:00 PM.)
Transportation will be provided and this event is FREE so be sure to invite a friend!

NOTE: A completed Liability Release Form is required to attend. Questions? Please contact Kelli Bryan.
VBS Mission Focus for July
During the month of July, Vacation Bible School is supporting the Christian Children's Home of Ohio. The purpose of CCHO is to be a safe and stable environment where abused, neglected and traumatized children find healing, discover hope and experience unconditional love.

Dan Franks, Director of Development, visited with us on Sunday, July 11 and gave a special talk to the kids where he told them a little about the Christian Children's Home and shared several meaningful stories.
For July, we are collecting financial donations and supplies for CCHO. If you would like to make a financial contribution you may do so this Sunday during VBS. If you would like to donate supplies for the Christian Children's Home of Ohio Art Therapy program, needed items include:

  • 24 count packs of Colored Pencils
  • Elmer's Glue Sticks
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • Dry Erase Markers
  • Acrylic Paints and Brushes
  • Gel Pens
  • Melty Beads
  • Stickers
  • Scissors
  • Play-Doh
  • String
  • Yarn
Kids Worship
As you may already be aware, we currently only offer Kids' programming for Nursery-5th during the 9:45 AM service. What you may not be aware of is that we are planning to add an additional service on Sunday, September 12, but we need your help to do it.

Volunteers are needed to serve during the 11:11 AM hour to lead Kids' programming beginning Sept. 12. If you're interested in joining us, or would like to learn more, please contact Cindy Baker or Carrie Wiley today!
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School has always been dedicated to teaching children about God. Through music & song, Bible lessons, skits and various activities, we share the good news that God loves YOU to each and every child.

Rocky Railway VBS pulled out of the station last Sunday with a lot of singing, games, crafts and fun. We posted some photos of the evening on our Facebook and Instagram pages and we encourage you to stop by to check them out.

Parents, if your child isn't registered, no worries! They're welcome to join us this Sunday.
VBS is for any child entering Kindergarten to 5th grade in the fall. Preschool-aged kids will be able to do VBS during our normal Sunday morning Kids Ministry class time at 9:45 AM. VBS will run from 6:00 to 8:00 PM every Sunday from now until August 8.
NOTE: VBS is capped at 250 students per day. Be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages for regular updates!

Be sure to join us for VBS Celebration Sunday on August 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM!
NextGen Sunday is Aug. 15
Join us on Sunday, August 15 as our Kids and Youth help lead worship on our first ever NextGen Sunday!

We want all of our kids and youth to join us in the Worship Center on that Sunday so we will NOT be offering any Kids Ministry classes on Sunday, August 15.

Please make plans to attend one of the services to encourage and celebrate our NextGen!

Opportunities to Serve
Ministry doesn't just happen. It takes prayer, planning and a team of people to make sure we worship on Sunday, study the Bible together, pray for someone as a group, host a special event or maintain the church building and grounds.

Volunteers are the core of any church and we're thankful for each and every one of you!

If you aren't currently volunteering, but you'd like to get involved, we encourage you to fill out this form to let us know what area interests you.
Blood Drive on Monday, August 2
It isn't unusual for the Red Cross to face blood shortages in the summer months. With the warmer weather, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the amount of donations have dramatically decreased. As a result, the Red Cross is asking all eligible donors to please give blood.

If you are are a long-time donor or have never given before, please consider joining us for our Blood Drive on Monday, August 2 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the Atrium. Donations generally take about an hour to complete, but you can speed up that process by using the RapidPass system.
If Monday, August 2 doesn't work for you, please consider donating at a different location. The Red Cross has dozens of donation sites available and one might be very close to you. Please go to the Red Cross website to find a blood drive close to you!

Monthly Prayer

A Prayer for our Children: Lord, we pray for our children as they grow in you. We pray first for their protection, as we know they are yours, before they are ever ours. We pray that their faith would grow to be even stronger than our own. (Proverbs 22:6)
