Worthington Christian Church
Volume 13, Issue 38 | September 16, 2020
Join us for a church-wide study on Revelation!
In this video-based study, Shane J. Wood, Ph.D., will help you think critically about the book of Revelation and read it for what the text says and not what you have always been told that it says.

This study is open to EVERYONE and begins on Thursday, October 8 from 6:45 to 8:00 PM and runs for 7 weeks. We will host the study in the Worship Center for a limited amount of people while also making it available through our online campus via livestream.
Additional details will be announced soon. Study materials will be available for those who attend in person OR as a download for those who choose to participate online. Childcare is not provided.
Register now for in-person worship this Sunday!
We are so thankful to be able to gather together in-person and online on Sunday mornings to worship & praise the Lord and learn from His Word.

To those of you who continue to register to join us in-person every Sunday, thank you. We are in constant prayer that all of us will be able to worship together, in-person, very soon -- without the need to register, wear masks or refrain from handshakes and hugs. Your continued patience and support means a lot to us.
For those of you thinking about joining us in-person on Sunday mornings, we encourage you to come. We clean and disinfect the pews and high touch spots between each service and ask that all participants keep their masks on at all times.

We also ask that you please register for in-person worship. We need you to do this for the safety of our entire congregation, their families and our community as a whole. (For details on what we are doing to make in-person worship services safer, please visit our website.) If an attendee happens to test positive the week following worshiping together and notifies the church, we are obligated to you to keep the identity of that person anonymous while notifying all those who participated in that service that they have potentially been exposed to the virus. Without registering, we can’t notify you.

We are committed to providing a worship experience that brings glory to God and honors all people. Worship times are 8:30, 9:45 and 11:11 AM.

Until we are able to gather together, without masks and other social distancing restrictions, we ask that you please continue to register for in-person Sunday worship and do wear a mask at all times. And if you aren't ready to join us for in-person worship, we encourage you to watch our livestream at our online campus -- live.worthingtoncc.org.
Connect Class
Our Connect Class, led by Community Life Minister, Austin Seevers, will answer your questions about faith, baptism, church membership and our vision for Worthington Christian Church.

We will offer this class on Sunday, September 27 at 11:00 AM to Noon through Zoom. It will be in a relaxed atmosphere that allows for honest questions while we take a closer look at what we believe and how we respond to those beliefs.

Look for your Zoom invite (with meeting ID # and password) to be in your inbox by Friday, September 25. Questions? Please contact Patti Remaklus.
Kids Ministry Announcement
Miss Carrie and the WCC Kids Ministry volunteers sure do miss seeing all your smiling faces every Sunday morning! She has been hard at work trying to put together a plan for when (and how) we can resume Sunday School for kids. Details will be announced soon.

Until then, she has some fun activities she has planned for kids to do. (Watch the video for details!)

WCCYouth: Middle School and High School Groups
Are you hybrid? Remote? In-Person? Sports or no sports?

So many questions, changes and challenges as we begin our school year. One thing you don’t need to question is our desire to care for and lead your student during these difficult times. This is a season that calls for us to be creative and intentional about how we accomplish our vision of 'Follow Jesus Together.' So the “how” we meet may have to change so we can face these challenges and strategize ways to make this happen.
Middle School Ministry:
  • Our Middle School Ministry will now consist of grades 6th to 8th.
  • We will have small groups every other Sunday, in the back parking lot, for our MS students beginning Sunday, Sept. 20 through Nov. 15 from 4:30-5:45 PM.
  • Social distancing and proper safety measures will be enforced.
  • To sign up for MS groups, please complete this form.

High School Ministry:
  • For our HS students, we are utilizing small gatherings in homes throughout our community.
  • These began on Sunday, Sept 13 and will end on Nov. 15.
  • We're grouping our students by school, address, and grades. This structure helps us organize and be super intentional.
  • To get signed up for a high school group, please complete this form.
Monthly Prayer

A prayer for faithfulness: God, we ask that you keep us faithful as we grow and learn from your Holy Spirit. Bless each family and individual with renewed faith as we call out to You.
