Ladies, join us on Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 AM in the Youth Center for a Christmas Brunch! The cost is $ 5 per person. You can pay online or at the door. All ladies (16 years and older) are welcome to join us! Bring a friend or co-worker!
We will serve traditional brunch foods and offer a coffee & hot chocolate bar. Author and speaker Danielle Macaulay will lead the morning’s program.
Our charity focus is the Ronald McDonald House.

The Senior Adult Ministry invites you to the Youth Center on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, for an afternoon of traditional carols.
Get in the Christmas spirit with traditional Christmas carols sung from our hymnals! All ages are invited to the Youth Center for a merry time of fellowship, song, and rejoicing! Following will be a cookie reception with plenty of yummy treats to share.
NOTE: Participants are asked to bring a dozen cookies to share.
| | | | Volunteer Opportunity: Worthington Christian Village | |
The Village continues to seek volunteers who may enjoy the Sunshine Cart Activity in our Health Care Center (HCC), located on the 7th floor, on Fridays or Saturdays after 2:30 PM. The HCC center is mainly for long-term nursing care. Residents can be bedridden and may be on hospice care.
The Sunshine Cart involves a weekly or bi-monthly commitment. Anyone interested is welcome to shadow a current volunteer first to see what it’s like. A Sunshine Cart is a mobile cart filled with treats, activities, and sometimes small gifts, delivered directly to residents to brighten their day.
| | |
The purpose is to lift spirits, particularly for residents who may be feeling unwell, isolated, or unable to leave their rooms easily. This is part of our Life Enrichment Team initiative program. The benefits of the program for residents include:
-
Social interaction: Provides a moment of one-on-one contact with a friendly volunteer, which can combat loneliness.
-
Empowerment: Giving residents a choice of what they receive offers them a sense of control.
-
Variety and stimulation: It can break up the monotony of the day and introduce new activities.
-
Enhanced well-being: The treats and gifts, however small, can create a burst of positive emotion.

| | | | Christmas Email Devotions! | |
Ladies, join us for an email devotional this Advent season beginning Monday, December 1.
Throughout December, we will prepare our hearts for Christmas as we reflect on the four gifts God gave us through the coming of His Son, Jesus: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. These email devotionals will include Scriptures relating to each gift and short videos from “The Bible Project.”
This year, we will do our Christmas email devotions a little differently! Instead of sending out daily devotions, we will send out one email each Monday in December. Each weekly devotion will contain five days of devotions. The first week of December, we will explore Biblical Hope, the second week Peace, the third week Joy, and the fourth week Love.

Winter is still a few weeks away, so now is a great time to clean out your coat closet and see what items you have that may deserve a new home!
From now until the end of the year, we're collecting new and gently used adult winter coats, hats, and gloves for the Columbus Dream Center. Adult sizes requested.
Please drop off your donation in the marked bin near the front doors beginning this Sunday.
| | | | Worthington Resource Pantry | |

- Rice (in 1lb. bags)
