We will be celebrating with Transfiguration Church (via Zoom) at 9:00 am and Holy Eucharist Rite II in-person at 10:30 am at Good Shepherd. Masks are still required.

Following the sad news of Rev. David Wacaster’s loss of his mother, the Vestry will be sending a memorial gift on behalf of the parish. Details will be made available soon for anyone who wishes to contribute. Please continue to keep David and family in your prayers.


The Reverend Ann Moczydlowski returns to Ascension Church to speak on Hope for American Criminal Justice Reform: Ending Torture, Dismantling Racism, and Developing Restorative Alternatives” Monday, January 23, 2023   7:00 pm via ZOOM. The Reverend Ann Moczydlowski will give an inspiring look at her work with Interfaith Action for Human Rights (IAHR), which brings interfaith-based action to bear on prison reform in our area. The Diocese of Washington is excited to be able to offer a workshop, Healing from Internalized Oppression, from the Episcopal Office of African Descent Ministries. The workshop will be held on the evening of Friday, Feb 3 and and during the day on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at St. Paul’s Rock Creek. Dinner will be served on Friday and a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Click here to register and for more information. Please be advised: This training is primarily intended for People of Color.


Mark your calendar for the Annual Meeting, which will take place on February 26 after the 10:30 service, in person. We will also ensure a hybrid option so that everyone can participate.
