FROM PETER'S PEN
I hope you will join us for Holy Week worship. This is a time when we practice ancient worship with some coming directly from Jesus' Last Supper. These services offer opportunities to connect emotionally and spiritually with the foundations of our faith. It is also a time to hear the echoes of prayer from 2,000 years of saints who have hoped and celebrated before us. You’ll find a schedule of the services in this newsletter.
The week of April 18-24, I will be away from the church getting some rest. Lent and Easter are beautiful and for clergy, a little exhausting 🙂. I will be recharging my batteries and getting ready for all of the great things unfolding here at Ascension.
As always, it is a joy to walk and worship with you!

HELP UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…”
Matthew 25:35
|
|
Over four million refugees have recently fled war-torn Ukraine. Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD) is partnering with Anglican agencies and other ecumenical partners to provide humanitarian aid in response to this crisis. Please help us to supply needed items for displaced families and individuals who are fleeing the war to other parts of Europe.
As we pray for an end to violence and for those fleeing Ukraine, we also pray for ERD and other ecumenical agencies working to respond to the current crisis. Specific needs will change as the crisis evolves. As of right now, there is a need for food, water and shelter.
